LeVert in Warm Ups

Submitted by Nate the Newt on

He's warming up with team.  Beilein had said that when he warms up with them, he's playing.  Sounds good! We could use him today against Purdue.

It's astonishing the amount of criticism, explicit and implied, that Coach Beilin and Caris LeVert are receiving.  LeVert's well-known injury history should be enough reason to be ultra-cautious. If I were LeVert's dad, I wouldn't want him playing until after (1) his injury was completely healed and (2) he was in complete playing condition. If he plays today I would hope Beilen puts a strict limit on his minutes.  A fatigued player is more likely to reinjure himself.

I'm not trying to be mean but levert's father passed away when he was a child. Obviously a sad story but the below Journey video by BTN covers him and in it he talks about him and his brother finding his father dead. If you haven't watched it I would recommend it.

The press conference was a reverse jinx.

JB: "He's not ready, OK, so stop asking!"

And due to the magic of reverse jinx, Caris is now ready.

It also worked with Jake Rudock.

EDIT: Beilein in pregame interview said LeVert would play only limited minutes.
