What do you think Don Brown's "significant changes" are?

Submitted by BornSinner on

I remember the on-field guy sharing some of Don Brown's thoughts during the game, and he mentioned Brown saying significant changes would be coming soon.

Anybody wanna guess as to what they might be?

I'm sure he looked at our linebacker play and cried a bit deep down. Idk what else can improve that other than better recruiting tho.

I know how it was talked about QB being a special spot for GTs as there is only 1 starter.  Buuuut, what are the odds we reach out to an eligible LB stud somewhere across the country with the pitch of "Wanna play with the best DLs and one of the best secondaries in the  country?"  I feel like that may appeal to a few young gentlemen.

I don't know that I would speak to what the specific changes might be, but I would be very intrigued to know how much study Brown has done to date and what his thoughts are at the moment. I am sure we'd never hear, but the change in defensive coordinators again makes the offseason an interesting one to me. As usual in these situations, the amount of personnel shifting will be intriguing to watch - I have to think we see a bit of that.

Like others, I think his thoughts on the LBs will probably be the most sought after information throughout the offseason.

He saw our linebacker play, then laid down that quote. Whichever lbs we still happen to have next year, they're both of them going to be improved over this years performances.

I'd like to know Brown's thoughts on what he would have done differently against OSU because Durkin screwed the pooch on that one

Why is everyone so concerned about LBer? Brown is a good LBer coach and only needs to come up with 2 starters out of 1. Gedeon 2. McCray 3. Furbush 4. Winovich 5. Bush 6. Wangler 4-4*s and a couple solid 3*s

Because none of those guys listed pushed for playing time from a mediocre unit this year besides Gedeon and he was hit or miss.  That doesnt mean a few of them can't be productive this upcoming season but it's hard to not be concerned about the linebackers next season.
