OT: What is the most Lions loss ever?

Submitted by Gallagher on
THIS IS HOW I COPE. What's the most Lions loss ever? This past game? Seattle earlier this year? Take the wind? Lose by running out of the endzone? Last year's playoff game? Joey driving the field and then botching the XP to send it to OT? Kickoff return in OT to lose a playoff game?

I'll go with 1970 where the entire defense thought it was hilarious that New Orleans was trying a 63 yard field goal, until Tom Dempsey boots it through to the amazement of all at that time.  It could only have been the Lions to lose in a way never dreamed of until then.

the thanksgiving game against Houston a few years ago.  The Lions got penalized for throwing a challenge flag on a touchdown that was subject to an automatic review and absolutely would have been overturned.  Instead they got a penalty and the play was no longer reviewable.

Only the Lions could lose by not knowing and then having that absolutely asanine rule cost them the game.
