Both Scout analysts predict that Sean Parker will choose USC.

Per USC's best beat writer, Kiffin is at Narbonne High (Parker's school) today. Looks like they really want him if they are showing up so soon after his official visit. Also looks like it isn't a done deal by any stretch if they have to work this hard.

Maybe he's scouting future hostesses?

He's actually there checking out their QB Chad Dashnaw. Here's the link, behind rivals paywall.

I used to just laugh at Kiffin when he was at Tenn., but now I'm starting to really dislike that guy. A lot.

This is the second gut feeling that has gone awry after previous infallibility; Tony Grimes was another gut feeling that went all dyspeptic on him.
While I'm disappointed I'm not at all surprised; it's very hard to keep Los Angeles-area kids away from USC if the Trojans are putting on the full-court press. If RR is able to secure him it would be a major coup.

Having all your eggs in one basket is where you get into trouble. We are still in the running for three safeties. That's why you keep on recruiting until they sign on the dotted line. I would love to have Parker, but Knight or Dorsey or Parker would all be good. We will be fine, and can be thankful that RR has continued to recruit a number of solid candidates hard.

Reality Check Michigan fans.... Even on probation... USC is still more attractive then Michigan. Michigan is surviving on reputation alone, and that will not last much longer.
Michigan fans are all happy because the class is "solid"... really? Michigan used to pull in 5 and 4 star recruits... now Michigan gets to pick over the leftovers. Michigan used to go head to head with USC, Florida, Ohio State ect. Now they lose recruits to the likes of Louisville, South Florida, Maryland, and Mississippi. Michigan starts guys that wouldn't see the field with Vanderbilt. Geez, you even lose guys to Arkansas for crying out loud.
You used to make fun of the Spartans, but guess what... on a national level... you have become the Spartans. And hell, even the Spartans can recruit for their front 7. Instead of anybody of note to play middle linebacker, you get players who only offers came from the Mac... and you call them "sleepers". Hell maybe Rich Rod, can get one of the 16 slots you have to play the middle.
Face up to it Wolverine fans, Michigan is not elite anymore. Just accept that fact that you have become Wake Forest. The sooner you swallow that pill, the easier it will be to stomach what happens on Saturday.

i understand your concern that maybe we used to "pull" in nothing but 5-4* star recruits. but go look at past yrs with Carr. nothing really great the last 5yrs. also i might ask "what did all these 5-4* fantastic recruits do for us"? that's right NOTHING! pull your head out of your ass and let RR recruit "his" guys and actually give him time to coach them. if at the end of 5 yrs we havn't done any better with RR i'll help you pack his bags and send him on his way, but for now stop whinning!

The good old days when Michigan's version of the 54 Defense was starting nothing but ***** and ****

I have a membership to Scout. I saw on one of their premium boards some really good news about our chances with Parker, and Dorsey. There is also some information about the possibility of who the next linebackers coach might be. I don't know all of the rules about posting all of that here so if someone else has a membership they can post it on here. http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=162&f=1088&t=5502225

FWIW, Cal has apparently unilaterally withdrawn from the Sean Parker sweepstakes.
