Michigan to Play Another Night Game in 2015

Take a stab at what conference road game will be at night now.  If you guessed Minnesota, you are correct!  Link

From the article:

The Golden Gophers will play four prime-time football games in 2015, including two at the University of Minnesota's TCF Bank Stadium. ESPN will broadcast the Sept. 3 season opener against Texas Christian University in Minneapolis, Athletic Director Norwood Teague said Tuesday following a speech at an Association for Corporate Growth luncheon. ESPN or ABC will also broadcast the Oct. 31 game against Michigan at TCF Bank Stadium, as well as the Nov. 7 game at Ohio State.

One of Michigan's most memorable games ever was a night game at Minnesota - the 2003 John Navarre comeback win. Down 28-7 in the fourth and we win, 38-35. Navarre had that touchdown run where it took him about 20 seconds to run 10 yards.

IIRC, wasn't this game played on a Friday night at the Metrodome because of a conflict with the Twins in the playoffs?

May have to set up a TV in the garage for viewing during trick or treating (I set up my tailgating stuff, and a firepit, in my driveway for treat distribution) .

I was going to take the whole family, but the kids will not consider this a treat. Plus, the first major snow storm of the season in the Twin Cities is always on Halloween. ( Coincidentally, it just stopped snowing here about 30 minutes ago), so the wife is out. Well at least solo is cheaper.

This is going to be my sons sr year of highscool football. Id be perfectly happy if every road game more than 4 hrs away is a night game so I can do to all of them. Unfortunately I will have to miss the Utah game.

My brother and I are making our first trek to Minneapolis for this game.  Looking forward to the contest itself, not so much the "freezing my ass off in the stands" part.

Why again did Minnesota build an outdoor stadium?
