2016 QB Brandon Peters to Enroll Early
I approve.
Avon (Ind.) High Top247 QB Brandon Peters will enroll early at #Michigan: http://t.co/VpRD0ghuw0 via @247Sports #Wolverines @TremendousUM

He says there is a surprise visitor on campus today that he thinks will be a Wolverine soon.
He won't say to protect sources/recruit, but the most popular guesses at Scout are Daelin Hayes or Lavert Hill.
Buckle Up?
I'd take either. Lavert Hill seems more plausible.
Agreed. Hayes seems USC bound.
Interesting. Sam hasn't hinted at either of them flipping.
Yeah he has not, I'm guessing this why it is a surprise. Lots of people think it could be Thyio Lukusa as well.
That would be surprising. Harbaugh's staff hasn't been in much contact with Lukusa.
That's what I thought as well. But he was at the spring game.
First time at UMich in awhile enjoying the spring game and atmosphere

Care to venture a guess Magnus?
My first guess is Michael Onwenu.
I have heard elsewhere that there is not a ton of mutual interest between Hill and Michigan. And as others have mentioned here, Hayes seems dead set on getting out of the midwest.
"Jim Harbaugh and his staff have already told Peters he will red-shirt, and they look forward to adding 30 pounds to his frame."

Morris (SR), O'Korn (JR), Malzone (RS FR), Gentry (RS FR), and Speight (if still here) (RS SO). I am all for competition but if you need a true FR to play at QB with all those guys ahead it is saying something.
Makes me wonder if they plan on redshirting Gentry this year.
I'm guessing they will. That's entirely my opinion though. I think they keep the red shirt off of Malzone as they will need him for depth.
I think Gentry doesn't get red shirted if he comes in and is immediately battling for the starting role but I think that's going to go to Morris or Rudock.
I don't see why they wouldn't considering they already have three guys battling for the job who got to work with the offense in the spring plus Rudock.
would enroll early if he already knows that he is red-shirting.
Good. Get him on campus early. The more time to learn the better. I love that he will be redshirting as well. It will be wonderful when the day comes that we consistantly have starting quarterbacks that are in their 4th and 5th years in the program.
More like "...starting [insert position here] that are in their 4th and 5th years..."
Enroll early and graduate in 3 years. That why if things don't work out in your favorite in this loaded (numbers wise) QB Derby, you can transfer after your RS Sophomore year and still have TWO years of grad school eligibility.
A Michigan degree and basically 2 guaranteed years as a starter unless you're silly enough to transfer somewhere where you aren't going to start. That as a "worst case" is a pretty awesome deal.
I'm sure if you can tell a kid "hey, best case you can graduate with an M-degree and you're a 3 year starter and you're off to the NFL as the #1 draft pick and worst case you can graduate with an M-degree and go play 2 years at Cincinnati or Northern Illinois," it wouldn't be a bad thing.
