B1G Hockey Championship Game

Submitted by Canadian on

The pregame show is on, the beer is cold, its Saturday night now lets win this fucking thing and get back in the big tournament.

whats on the line: Michigan NEEDS to win to make it into the NCAA Tournament. Minnesota will make the tournament with a win and have a strong chance of advancing even with a loss (it is NOT a given as there is one scenario where they could be left out).

this game will come down to goaltending. Racine needs to keep up his good play at the Joe but Michigan will need to keep the pressure on Wilcox (who looked like the Wilcox of old last night with the shutout against Ohio State) and fight for the rebounds in the crease.

I'm not going to bring up the running theme of these threads thursday and friday because we all get it and expected it.

WIN THE GAME!!!

I live downtown, bought tickets today. I am shocked and offended that they don't sell beer here. We asked for beer and the woman responded with "The Big Ten does not support alcohol consumption"

They overlook any number of questionable practices every day, but with a generous count of 3000 people here, of whom many are kids and 95% of whom are cheering for the same team... they must think its a riot in the making if beer was involved. If they are bleeding money after this sad event, it's their own fault.

USCHO has a nice pairwise predictor (that's much more fun if Michigan has a good season). Barring an epic collapse by BU Minnesota is in the tournament no matter what (BU is up 4-1 in the 3rd).

Come on hockey gods, let us have this one. You owe us for having every goal review go against Michigan.

It's great that we got here, but I'm wondering if some of the serious speed advantage Minnesota is wielding is the fact that we're on our 3rd game in 3 days. Our guys have got to be tired and they're having to kill penalties against the #1 unit in the nation.

Just feels unsustainable
