Maybe the NBA owners will reconsider and let the Kings become the Seattle SuperSonics. 4M people right up the road would love that...

I would trade everything about the Pistons for everything about the Kings, straight up, except for the team name, colors, and Mason.

Hard to see his stock getting any higher than it was, 8th overall. Kid had a basketball court in his backyard, I doubt he did it for the money.

Dude.
$4.5M is more than 95% (originally put 99.9% but remembered this is UM and not OSU or MSU) of the people on this board will make in their careers. Not debating that he loves the game and thinks about it 24/7.
But it's got to be a little bit about making a ridiculous amount of money at a ridiculously young age.

He can't find playing time because he's behind Ben McLemore, a guy who was drafted 7th one year earlier. Taking Nik was the wrong choice for the Kings.

What are you basing your opinion on that McGary will develop quickly but not Stauskas? Is there some secret college development lab that's your reason why Nik should have stayed in school? But obviously this lab wouldn't have worked for McGary and him leaving was the right choice...

Because playing for 14 mins on average for the Kings will help develop you so much more than a solid 35+ minutes vs. competion such as Arizona, Villanove, Wisconsin, OSU, MSU, etc.
Sure, it's not the NBA, but I'd rather see someone hone their skills in game situaitons rather than practice.

I mean he went #8 overall. Going to have a pretty hard time convincing anyone that that is a mistake.
December 17th, 2014 at 2:03 AM ^
Yup.
And if that's not enough reason, then Nik will show you 4,500,000 more reasons over the next 2 years.

Yeah... Nik doesn't appeat to be really involved in the Kings offense. I'm not blaming him, just observing.
On one of his few opportunities, he got himself open with a great pump fake at the 3-pt line (indicating the Thunder take him seriously as a long-range shooter), but passed on the shot. Hopefully he pulls the trigger next time he gets himself that open.
