Per the suggestion in the banhammer posts, discuss the game tonight freely. (And don't make me look like an asshat by flaming the football team here).

As it turns out, dude actually was a golfer. Here's his bio from NMU: In 1993, Ellis became a two-sport coach at Northern Michigan, taking over the responsibility of the men’s golf team. An excellent golfer, he won the Upper Peninsula men’s amateur championship in 1981, as well as the club championship at Wawonowin Country Club (Ishpeming) in 1995.

But someone has got to get my man some sun. I need shades to watch him. Suddenly The Arena isn't so dark. Get thee to a tanning booth!

Does anything the BTN do strike you as "top shelf". This is like community access TV on steroids. I mean has anyone ever seen a "Texas Pete" wing sauce ad on a real network like CBS, TNT, Spike, etc! Enjoy wisdom from the King

Wow - we haven't had anyone get a triple-double since Gary Grant? You'd think maybe Jalen would have gotten one. Two assists to go for Manny.

I live in IL and went to see Lake Forest play Zion High School (The ZeeBees) last season. Zion had 3 D1 player but Vogrich just killed them with his shooting and smooth play. He just didn't miss from anywhere from what I remember. Kid will be special when it is all said and done

it was a nice comment about taking school seriously, and it sounds like it was really heartfelt, about the players' sports careers being short, and the value of an education and the benefits of going to a school like michigan. which is why jim harbaugh can win 11 games a year for the next decade, and i still will be fine if he never shows his face around here. if he wants to rip our athletes as students and the education he received, then he can hand off his diploma to someone else, i'm sure there would be a lot of takers.

1. The band's rendition of "Take On Me" was absolutely dominant. 2. Morris's length and athleticism is a major upgrade at the top of the zone. He runs the court and finishes very well near the basket. 3. The way the BTN cut off the awesome Harris to Sims oop to watch a fricking spaz drummer made me want to puke. 4. With the depth of talent on this team the scrimmages have to be fantastic. That's got to help the defense. 5. New more athletic Zach Novak is very fun to watch. Second team all big ten fun. 6. Stu's passing has really improved 7. Gibson has developed into a dynamic offensive player off the bench. So...Stock up: Vogrich, Morris, Novak, Manny, Deshawn, Douglas, Gibson Standing pat: LLP(meh defense, meh shooting, passing seems to have improved) Stock down: Cronin(hands of stone), Wright(meh shooting)
