Slightly Official- ND 5 are Out

There won't be an official statement from ND tonight. But this is as official as it's going to get. Unfortunately I have "friends" who went to ND. I traveled to South Bend this evening and they wanted to go to the pep rally, so I tagged along. The 5 were not there. Davaris Daniels also recently tweeted good luck to the team tomorrow. Someone more savvy with Twitter please embed. More information and confirmations will begin to come out.

Comparisons:

Davaris Daniels- Devin Funchess
By far their best returning receiver.

Ishaq Williams- Frank Clark
Flashes of brilliance but has yet to put it together.

KeiVarae Russel- Ray Taylor/Blake Countess
Their best returning corner and first round talent.

These are big losses no matter how they sell it. If we don't put up 35 on them tomorrow, It'll be an act of God.

per www.vegasinsider.com/college-football/odds/las-vegas/, the line hasnt moved. either them not playing was priced into 3.5 or vegas doesnt view them as out yet. or, im reading too much into the line. but if the OP's comparisons are apt, you'd think the suspensions would be worth a couple points.

I think that line came out when the "insiders" knew that they 5 were out. -3.5 for the home team is basically a toss up, with a slight edge to the home team.

I expect the Domers to do half of that. They are big losses; probably their second best offensive player and either their best or second best on D. And, additional depth losses in the secondary where hey can least afford it . Excellent!

If they were suspended, and away from the team, there is no way they are even being considered for play regardless of when the suspension ends.

It's an academic issue that was to put to their academic/ ethics board. They are academia that couldn't get together for two weeks. They won't be meeting tonight or tomorrow morning.

These guys aren't playing. Someone much smarter than me coined the phrase to never attribute malice to something more easily explained by stupidity or bureaucracy (which in most cases are the same thing). Kelly is just using the ambiguity to make it harder for Hoke to game plan. Hoke has it figured out.
