If Wormley is really 295 pounds as he's listed, he's a little big to be a DE in a 4-3 over.
I think you're right though; he could do some good things at DE in long yardage situations .

If it's a long yardage situation (clearly a pass play) then Wormley is one of the last guys I'd want at DE. He's not much of a pass-rusher, otherwise he'd be playing DE. In those situations, I'd want out two DEs to be some combo of Clark, MO or Jake Ryan. Small, quick guys who don't need to be able to hold up against the run, since they aren't going to run the ball. Have our DL be something like Ryan, Taco, Clark, Ojemudia, with a NB in for the MIKE.
I don't think he's going to contribute much this year.
but this roster looks like its loaded ... You cannot tell me Bo, Moeller would not have this team in the top 10.
Can we coach?
Can we call the right play?
Can we block the opposition in front of us? Just hit someone.
Can we run the ball?
Can we contain on D and not overrun most big down plays?
Can we pick or knockdown a ball that we should?
Can we play with heart?
Can we at least represent Michigan?
etc.
All unanswered questions are squarely on Hoke.

out of Darboh and Chesson. If those guys have retained their speed they're going to be a rough matchup for corners on run plays and passing plays. Funchess being the worst nightmare as he can high hurdle the DB as well as running them over.
Like what I see in the backfield too. I lost touch with whether Isaac can play this fall but its going to be hard to stop that trio (incl Smith and Green), especially if a guy with fresh legs trots out in the 4th quarter after the other two have been pounding the D for the previous 3.....
C'mon... it's obvious he's more like 5'-8".
This team is deep, and loaded. If we don't have double digit wins I will puke on myself.
