Semi-OT: Alabama Will Play 'Anybody' in 2015 - Michigan?

Submitted by boliver46 on

Alabama apparently has a slot open for a HOME Football game in 2015.  I know our last experience with Alabama in JerryWorld left a LOT to be desired.  HOWEVA - most people feel like 2015 is lining up to be a special year for UM Football.  DEPTH, TALENT, and EXPERIENCE will be in abundance for that team.

Questions:

(1) Would Alabama TRULY play 'Anybody'?  The Alabama AD SAYS so:

“Right now we’d take anybody,” Battle said, via CBSSports.com. “We’ve called everybody we know.”

(2) Would Michigan be open to the idea of replacing a creampuff (e.g. UNLV @ Home) OR a (non-creampuff) Road-Game (@ Utah) with the Crimson Tide?  Or would the loss of Home revenue or goodwill with Utah be too much to stomach?

and

(3) Would the MGoBlog community feel this would be a good idea?

I like the idea of playing top competition every year - but beat-downs make them less fun.  With an experienced roster in 2015 - I'd like another shot at those f*@&!*@ers.

As long as we could get them up into our neck of the woods for a game too (which I know they'd be willing to do, considering they went to play at PSU a few years back), I'm all for it.

To hell with neutral sites. Home and homes are where it's at.

Because we just had two fifth year NFL tackles, a stable of 2nd year 4-5 stars, and proceeded to have without question, the most underachieving line in America a a sieve of a defense.  We have plenty of defensive talent and it seems as though a non-blitzing sack, a pass breakup, or an interception is a dream come true.  A lot of us will not be optimistic again about talent until these coaches show that they can do something with it.

Yes, play in Tuscaloosa in the 2015 season (since we will get OSU and MSU at home that season), and in Ann Arbor in 2016 (when we have our B1G biggest rivals on the road again).

Let's play an Ohio schedule like they have the last 2 years. All wins and just have to focus on 1 or 2 games.
