Mitch: Wishful Thinking

Submitted by JTGoBlue on
After seeing the reaction of the national media, namely ESPN, I am wondering if the announcement of Mitch intending to declare and his openness about the circumstances is a strategic PR move. It is amazing to me that with all the legal power Michigan has, that they cannot win an appeal to a rule that changed literally weeks after the offense. Mitch has implied that he would have stayed if not for the 1 year suspension; and if held to the new 6 month rule he would be able to play in the fall, correct? Is Michigan drumming up support and planning to take another swing legally?

Do they do the same thing for football? I feel like we would have more suspensions, please don't try telling me that all football players are all law abiding citizens...

is six months out of season? Missing zero game time instead of a whole year? It's half a season. I doubt he would have come back for that, but at least he would have had a real decision to make.

My conspiracy theory holds that the skank who passed Mitch the weed goes to State. And her Daddy is an OSU grad from a shitty little place called Lima, that works for the NCAA. She told because Mitch hit it and quit it. Dave Brandon actually banged her Dad's gf in college (envision this in black and white) after the sock hop, so when DB called to get this thing swept under the rug, Daddy-o said "fuck your sky writers chump, and fuck your Fred Flinstone ass coach", and hung up. Now Mitch is gone.
