Michigan versus Kentucky, Elite 8 open thread
That's all that needs to be said. Let's do this.

Hindsight is 20/20, but wish we would've called it once Nik crossed halfcourt.
Not enough time to call time out and then inbound and get off a clean shot. Nik had a great look. He needs a bigger back yard to practice those.
Wouldn't it be the worst thing in the history of sports if an 8 seed 10 loss Kentucky team won a championship by beating a Florida team that they had lost to in the three previous meetings? It'd be the all time worst of fairy tale endings.
Im very emotional right now but I feel like Beilein has cost us the National championship last year with sitting Burke so many minutes, and now today with Horford etc. At this level you gotta play your horses and see what happens! I love Beilein, I would not trade him for anyone but he is not without fault.
If I recall correctly they made a run with Morgan on the bench to get back in it!
I believe they went +8 in that stretch or something along those lines, but I've already deleted the game from my DVR and wouldn't watch it again anyway.
To make myself feel better, I am going to blame that loss on the refs. Fuck you refs. And fuck Kentucky too.
for saying michigan this year feels like kansas last year.
Nik couldn't have taken a few more steps, but spit happens. Refs let the game be UK's style, the guys played valiantly. And that was an ice, cold 3 by a twinkie.
The good news is that I no longer need to watch basketball this season. And I can finally wash my Michigan t-shirt.
MOTHERFUCKING STATISTICALLY ANOMALOUS PERFORMANCES.
That said, super proud of those guys. Hell of a year.
This was a well played game by both teams. What can you do, he hit a great shot with a hand in his face. No regrets!
That was a great game, and Michigan kept it close.
This one stings but not as much as I thought it would. It hurts to see our team so sad, I know they are all competitive and hate to lose but I hope they realize how much they accomplished this season and hold their heads up high. We learned a lot about our program this year, our coaches, it's been a great great season. Now we wait for the announcements about who is coming back. Can't wait to get DJ Wilson and Kam Chatman in here and see what they can do, and I expect Zak and Derrick to have a big jump next year like Nik and Caris did this year. Go Blue!
We win all the time with that kind of performance, actually.
It's when they make 54% and rebound over half their misses when things go badly. And we still have them if they make their usual percentage from outside.
As I said on twitter, you know you care about sports too much when, after a loss, you try to put your life in perspective...sitting up here telling myself: "i got a good job, I need to be thankful that I'm even a position to enjoy a sporting event. Could be in a 3rd world country..."
Sad as shit right now. Good game, great run. Kentucky made shots that they haven't made all year, hats off to em...
Hindsight is 20/20, but should've called TO when Nik got to halfcourt. We still had 1.3-1.5 on the clock.
We had about a 1% chance of pulling off anything there, no matter what we did.
but certainly no reason to hang our heads...great season and great effor tonight
They have a tie game, and about 4 guys on the floor that can pretty much walk down the lane and lay it up or dunk it to win. Intead, they decide to take a fade-away 3 from a 34% 3-point shooter. It was an unbelievably bad shot, all things considered.
I would have let him take that shot 10 out of 10 times. He just hit it.
That was a tough shot the kid hit to beat an even tougher UM team who had shown resilience all year. The future isbright,we are B1G champs and once again well respected by the bb world! I can live with that, Go Blue!!!
