BTT starting now and predictions

The tourney starting now with Nebraska and Rutgers. Northwestern and Illinois to follow. Who’s watching? Probably not many tonight lol. Who is your dark horse for the tourney (someone not seeded in top 5)? Who is your favorite? Illinois is my dark horse. Michigan is my favorite. Go Blue and all that, but favorable draw, not losing to Msu 3 times (if they get there) and most of all JB owns March so let’s get it. Enjoy the tourney everyone.

Indiana is my dark horse. Watch out MSU. I would love for I.u. To beat you a 3rd time. We need to shoot better if we are going to win it.

I’m pulling for Northwestern tonight but probably want revenge against Iowa on Friday. I think we at least win on Friday as Beilein has been money in first game of the BTT. After that if we do lose on Saturday I won’t be that dismayed as it’s an extra day of rest. Would love to three peat but want the best possible chance of a deep run in March Madness.

I never thought I'd say this, but with the imbalanced schedule, I'd rather win the tournament than the regular season, no matter how many games have to be played.  The 3-peat would be cool - and some useful mojo into the madness.

That said, I don't care much about the conference, never really have.  I want to win the last Monday night game.

Purdue has more conference titles than everyone else, might even be the only school with a winning record against all the others (they were at one point).  But nobody thinks of them as a power because they've never won the NCAA tournament.  People think of Indiana (5), MSU (2), Michigan (1), and Wisconsin (1, before probably 99% of us were born).

I didn't fact check, so feel free to come at me bro.

"Dont care much about the conference" leads me to believe you are under 30 years old. No particular causation/correlation between the 2, but that's my guess.

Conference championships (football and bball) are championships, and winning the conference bball tournament is a big deal.  A casual fan might only care about the ncaa tourney, and to each their own.

Michigan won't win the BTT. MSU or Purdue will.

Michigan won't make it past the Sweet 16, if they even get that far.

MSU goes to the Final Four.

If Matthews plays versus Purdue and again versus Sparty in the finals, then its gonna be a 2 point win for Sparty over Michigan, or Michigan defeats Sparty by 2.

I hate fence-sitters, so I wont do it either...if Matthews plays versus Sparty in the finals: Michigan 68, Sparty 66.  UM finally gets a win over Sparty this season.

Michigan is locked into a #2 in the NCAA tourney.  Defeating Purdue and Sparty simply gives UM a higher "#2" in the committee's tournament rankings.  *sigh* . That damn loss to PSU, when we look back at the season, will have been the biggest reason (certainly not the only reason) UM didnt get a #1 seed in the NCAAs.
