Nothing happening in the B1G tonight but this UVA/UNC game is goong to be great.  Coby White is so much fun to watch. Go Heels!

UVA is an outstanding team...they have a legitimate chance of being a #1 seed. This really is pretty nonconsequential-whether you're a 1 or a 2...or a 3 for that matter. Michigan needs to continue to stay mentally tough and steadily improve their play.

No.  Not Go Heels.  Fuck the Heels.  I'm stuck in this God awful state with these annoying tar heel fans.  They are just as insufferable as Duke fans or Ohio State football fans.  So no.  I hope they get beat..  Yeah, Yeah, I know, it makes us look better if they win.  Nope.  It's still a top quad 1 win even if VA wins.  So fuck UNC.

I'm with you. I have two siblings that moved to NC (Charlotte) after graduation and they can't stand UNC fans. Along with that, the paper classes, the constant winning, and Roy's "aw shucks" response to cheating, leave me no reason to cheer for UNC sports.

Im glad we beat them because of the above reasons. But I will not cheer for them over a team like UVA just because it could boost our seed line.

People need to understand that UNC is a blue blood, and we are not. UNC could easily jump us if our resumes look similar, even with a loss to us. I mean they were like 25-10 and got a 2 seed last year.

UNC hatred aside this was not a good result for Michigan given the UNC win was a resume building one.  Also cements UVA has a one-seed, they do have a home and home with Louisville and will probably lose to Duke again in the tourney.  They were supposed to have a couple of starters hurt but give them credit winning.  They're still a paper tiger in the tourney till proven otherwise.

Elite 8 3 years ago and Sweet 16 5 years ago.  Last year was an unprecedented achievement but it's not like they've done nothing.  It's hard to get to the Elite 8, let alone final 4...no matter who you are (save for ridiculous Duke and Kentucky teams who literally SHOULD make it there mostly every year with their stockpiles of paid talent).

underperforming is how they do against their seed, which is not good, Virginia lost as a 1 to a 16 by 20 points! first it's happened, they were a 2 in 2015, lost in the round of 32, a 1 in the midwest in 2016 and lost to 10-seeded Syracuse.  The only time recently they played to their seed was as a 5 seed they lost to 4-seeded Florida, 65-39.  Every team would love to have these guys in their bracket.

I wouldn't. Virginia is legit, and just like Gonzaga, sooner or later they will make a final four. Nova was considered a joke of a tourney team from 2010-2015 because of how they couldn't get out of the first weekend despite winning a ton of games...and then they won the whole thing.

Virginia is a dominant team. I would not want to face them
