State Investigator Report says MSU Stonewalls Nassar Probe
Shocking I know. Not a good look.
The investigator:
-Found emails discussing how to keep information secret
-Federal prosecutor hired to investigate was in fact trying to steer legislation in MSU's favor
-Sent reams of irrelevant documents to investigators
-had attorneys attend meeting with victims so they wouldn't be as open with the abuse
And so much more.

I'd be humiliated if the same thing was happening at Michigan. I don't know how those selfish bastards running MSU sleep at night. This 'we must protect MSU' mentality is exactly what let Nassar run free for years and it was painfully obvious that MSU has learned absolutely, positively nothing. I hope for the sake of the folks on campus that there are no other Nassars running around

this is horrible but I am afraid that no justice will be served.

What gets me with today’s society is the complete disregard and borderline disdain for victims. People who have been truly wronged should be heard and no dismissed, overlooked,or further terrorized so that a perpetrators rights may be considered. ( it’s too harsh to label somone an offender or rapist) There are those that condemn spoken words as crimes nowadays like it’s the worst thing that can happen these young womenwere penetrates without consent and these assclowns are playing circle the wagons.

Regardless of where anyone went to college, MSU is embarrassing the state of Michigan.
Michigan State, for us state of Michigan tax payers, please get your shit together forgodsakes.

MSU stymied the Nassar investigation? No way. <Pickachu_shocked_face.jpg>

MSU could stonewall the investigation because the AG, who should have been aggressively rooting out wrongdoing, was running for governor. Can't risk upsetting the pizza delivery voting alumni.

Not to be outdone on the Democrat side, Whitmer was an MSU graduate/vote-seeker first and an advocate for sexual assault victims second.

Good for the investigator, and the local press for covering this. HOWEVAH, I noted that the Detroit News was running a chyron at the top of its website saying "Report Shows Perles Had No Knowledge Of Alleged Rape By Nassar" (or something awfully close to that). FFS, DetNews - that's what you got out of the report?!?.
As to the bigger picture, MSU had a choice. They could come clean, clean house, and move forward a better place. Or they could go through the motions publicly, undercut the investigation, and signal to their school that the institution's PR matters more than its rep. They chose the latter, and it is now blowing up in MSU's face.
While that's gratifying w/r/t Engler, Perles, and the trustees, it's wretched w/r/t the students and faculty who are appalled by the Nassar scandal and the role MSU administration played in enabling the rape of over a hundred children. This is becoming MSU's brand, and most affiliated with the university deserve better.

Even MLive doesn’t seem to care about this anymore. Basically their article says here is the report if you want to read it, had a link to the report...the end

Let's lock them in a dome like the Simpsons movie.

Conspiring to hide wrongdoing via email has got to be the epitome of stupid.
