My take is that Carter didn't pull this entirely out of his butt. If I had to speculate on the actual information he got, he either got some information from the Packers and/or Browns that they are evaluating Harbaugh. This is likely true, and I would be surprised if they weren't at least doing some research.

But this means nothing about there being reciprocal interest, and I'm guessing where Carter added some wreckless speculation to make the story sound more dramatic.

In other words, nothing to see here. Move along.

Of all the OSU talking heads on the networks that were former players, Carter has got to be by far the worst.  The rest of them are pretty level headed and decent to pretty darn good -- Herbstreit, Spielman, Griffin.  Galloway can go away though.

Also consider that CC is the only person to say this. If this “rumor” had any sort of legs, multiple media outlets would be reporting it.

All CC’s bitch ass did was try to take attention away from Urban leaving by putting Michigan in a negative light. But since only about 27 people listen to CC’s radio show, not many people heard it.

Perfect response. Cris is just stirring the pot.  I liked him as a player in the NFL and even when he played for OSU I had a grudging respect for him because he was so clearly a great athlete with tremendous work habits.  Still...I get tired of sports journalists with OSU ties speculating about Michigan football and acting like they've got any kind of insight.  

He's probably trying to protect OSU recruiting, which doesn't really need it.  Day is going to do just fine.

Good point but hidden is an ulterior motive. Now that Urban Meyer has taken another leave of absence from coaching, there was an open seat on the jive turkey roundtable and Cris Carter was just auditioning for that role.

Looks like Carter picked the wrong 'Day' to quit sniffing coke.
