I will say, Ohio State is handling this the best way they can for recruiting, given that it's happening now..

Elite recruits hate uncertainty.  OSU is removing a lot of that uncertainty by announcing the Meyer retirement now, and the quick replacement of him with Day.

And they have telegraphed this move for months as well. 

There is still some uncertainty around assistants, but this is definitely not a Lloyd-to-Rich Rod situation.
