Best of luck to him. WOuld have been nice if he hung around A2 longer. The Michigan WRs definitely improved under him.

I am willing to bet a signed dollar that Pep doesn't get hired at Maryland. I have no inside info.

i prefer to keep my dollars but i agree with you. seems like candidate #3 out of 3. Also interviewed around last year and got no jobs.
I would bet a signed dollar that he's not a great interviewer, at least for HC positions. he has that standoffish, sort of blase persona, not real charming.

i can't make threads but i would love to see a Jim Mcelwain appreciation thread. seems like he did a good job w/ receivers this year, was always destined to be 1-and-done at UM and contributed what we needed him to.
Also he was wise to stay out of the discussion about offensive strategy and playcalling every time he was asked. "it's jim's offense, i just coach the receivers and do what i'm told" smart move.
