Anxious/Nervous for Saturday?

Submitted by Ajcoss on November 19th, 2018 at 11:27 PM

I have been coming on here for the last couple of years. Usually at minimum once a day to check it out whether it’s May or this week. Clearly more content this week than May lol. With that said, as fans crazy the team we all care about the most and spend countless hours a year following comes down to 3-4 hours for what many of us would call the biggest win in the Harbaugh era. Crazy how much an outcome of a game can impact whether or not you have a good weekend or even fall for that matter lol.

My questions as we gear up for Saturday:

1. How often do you check this blog a day? During season I say 5-6 times a day.

2. How nervous are you on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being you can’t sleep and having nightmares of the past 15 matchups? I’ll say I am a 7, probably 8 by Friday lol.

3. Where will you watch the game? My house. I stand and watch as my Tv is mounted, so basically eye level. My wife probably Home, but she knows how big this game is and how nuts I go. At home, I miss 0 plays and hear entire game.

4. Do you consider Saturday the make or break game to decide if this was a successful season? No. I had high expectations all season with the talent on this team. Successful is Big 10 title. Anything in CFP would be gravy.

5. If I said OSU scores 31, would you take it knowing UM can deplete this D for 32+? Yes. I think OSU scores. Not sure they can stop anyone. Keep them under 35, I like it.

Always you're nervous/anxious. More confident than ever but, we have 11 OSU players lined up against us, we're visiting, and OSU will certainly have their own personal ref crew once again. The world knows JT never made that first down and that's their home advantage. Nervous, yeah. Anxious, yeah. I think we have the capability to really beat them handily in Columbus but the fates seem to intervene at the worst possible moments.

1) This time of year, maybe 6-8 times a day, if not more. Easily my most frequented site. During basketball season, goes down a little bit, but not much. During the dead season of around April-August, maybe 3-4 times a day, if that, just because there's not much information out there.

2) Right now, probably a five. This week's game is constantly on my mind, but not to the point where I can't stay focused and still get my work done. When we get to Friday, it'll probably be an 8. At kickoff on Saturday, it'll be a full-blown 11.

3) Staying home. Watching the game with my father-in-law, who is unfortunately a casual OSU fan.

4) I won't say the season is a failure if we lose on Saturday, but man it would sure be close. There may never be a better chance for Harbaugh to change the narrative in this rivalry, as OSU looks highly discombobulated, especially on defense. It's fair to ask that if he doesn't win on Saturday, when will he ever, as long as Meyer is around. If we lose, all the momentum this program has gained over the last two months, all the wind in our sails? All gone. But if Harbaugh finally gets the win, I truly believe this program will have finally turned a corner, for good, and that many more wins against OSU are to follow. It's just a huge mental hurdle to overcome for this team, to go into this game not having to walk on eggshells, knowing that they can win, rather than just hoping they can.

5) Spotting OSU 31 points? Ehh I'll decline and trust the defense to do better than that, not just because I think they can, but after seeing Michigan stall in the red zone so many times this past weekend. I suppose this is more about wanting to put the offense in less of a hole. This feels like a game that will end 24-20. I know OSU's defense is a sieve, but I just know that somehow they're going to play better this weekend.

3. Where will you watch the game? Traveling to St Louis that day so I'll need to find a bar once I land...unfortunately I'll be missing some of the 1st half

4. Do you consider Saturday the make or break game to decide if this was a successful season? No but it would leave a bad taste in my mouth

I’m nervous every game. For this game I’m about an 8. I look at all the comparable teams played....OSU was close against penn state, Maryland and Nebraska while Michigan handed it to all of them. Michigan did have them all at home rather than on the road however. OSU played Indiana better than michigan did, but Purdue happened. Keep OSU under 28 points and I think Michigan wins a close game. This season has been great and I think Michigan has performed higher than what was thought. Being 10-1 and 8-0 in the big is tremendous, especially with the schedule played and the way Michigan made those opponents look.

Beat OSU!

Go Blue!

28-24 good guys!

First time posting here. I really have a quite confidence Meechigan puts some sad faces on the Bucs. I believed when the season began 1 Warner and 2 Patterson would make the greatest difference. Those two are still doing it. 5 games in, just as Warner said, the OL came into it!  Shea's playmaking ability is impossible to prepare for.  When you think of it, those two facts is what sets this coming game apart from resent wars with OSU. Last year we had a shot without those two. This year is our year, most certainly. And the players believe it.

On OSU scoring 31, I don't think that would be enough to beat a motivated revenge team! Go Blue!

Check the blog after work in an extended manner.

I'm anxious about the game, but I'm actually cautious about how confident I feel, because I feel like I can't take another dong punch after getting my hopes up again.

Usually watch the game with my Dad, brother and son at my brother's unless he has other plans.  He invites others which I have mixed feelings about.  I care way too much about Michigan football and it doesn't completely define me, but based on how I react to the games it would be easy for people who don't know me to think I'm a lunatic.  Whatever.  My Dad can't watch the big games anymore.  He'll watch Saturday's game on commercial free playback only if we win.

Saturday is the make or break game.  We won't lose the Big 10 Championship.  Winning a playoff game is icing to me, which says something about Michigan football.  Ugh.

I don't think OSU scores more than 24 assuming no OT.
