Saw this on the r/CFB Reddit and thought it was not only typical cheating OSU, but also very worrying for Saturday based on how much man to man we play. They're teaching their receivers to pull on the CB's jersey in an effort to spin them around and to slow them down. You can see at the end of the video what this can result in (a wide open receiver and free TD). This seems like textbook offensive pass interference to me, so let's hope the refs call this

Haskins can sit in the pocket with not a lot of pressure most games and he’s very accurate. This game comes down to our D line getting enough penetration to disrupt Haskins. Then the cornerbacks just need to keep the windows tight enough for long enough to make throws under pressure difficult.

Other ref in that game was a Msu slappy that had anti Harbaugh comments liked on his FB page.

I have no doubt OSU was somehow behind that fiasco. Somebody got paid ...

Duh?  Isn't this the same thing as the thread complaining that DB's are being coached to commit defensive PI?  I'm sure it's not the only thing that they're being coached up on, but a calculated risk that the officials aren't going to call it 100% of the time.

It's not like Coach Bombay is teaching District 5 to dive all over the place.  That would be unseemly.

I've no doubt that both Zordich and McElwain, upon seeing this tweet, will look at each other and laugh.  Probably thinking, 'what a bunch of rubes to think we haven't done this for years'...

I mean, good? Then we can get away with a fuck ton of DPI and if we can do that then they aren't gonna catch shit.

a few things you can count on Saturday:  OSU receivers will hold and push off and we will get called for DPI, Haskins will make great passes in tight windows and our DBs will watch a great catch, Haskins will lob it up and hope his guy runs under it, and they will make some big plays.  OSU is gonna score.  the game will be decided with our offense and our ability (or lack there of) to score.  I suspect we need 35 pts to win.

This will be less effective vs. Michigan's bump and run coverage. The receivers are propelling themselves by launching off of a cornerback and taking their momentum from them in order to slow them down and speed themselves up. The goal is to delay the corners turning and running with the receivers.

When you're facing bump and run and getting jostled at the line of scrimmage, there is no stationary target to grab onto and launch yourself into the second half of your route. The corner is already turned and running.

Also we shouldn't be complaining because let's be real, we love us some grabby coverage. Live by the sword die by the sword.
