Bye week snowflakes

Things on my mind that don’t all warrant new threads. Comment on some, comment on all, post pics of bunnies with pancakes on their heads, whatever.

1. Look into your crystal ball, is Shea the qb next season or has he moved on to the NFL? I’m feeling 50-50 about it right now.

2. Uche feels a lot like Winovich 2016 as Brian mentioned in the game recap. Can he be a good enough run defender that we plug him into Winovich’s spot next year as a full time starter, or will be still be a situational pass rusher.

3. If we get past Penn St and Rutgers still looks..like Rutgers, do you consider giving McCaffrey the start? Conventional wisdom says no, you pull Shea when you have a comfortable lead, but there might be some benefit to extended action for McCaffrey/Milton.

4. Who will have more success in the Big Ten: Scott Frost or PJ Fleck? Early returns not great on either but still very early for both. Personally I think Frost will figure it out and do fine there. Not sure if PJs boat rowing will find as much success in Minnesota.

Nebraska is already better than Minnesota. I get that the Huskers have one win, but they are well and truly one of the best one-win teams you'll ever come across (not saying they're good, but they are good enough to have three or four wins).

1. Patterson isn't having a super stat filled year I would expect for him to come back. But it will be tough because I think McCaffrey may be better by that time.

2. I think Uchev will have strengthened himself more and be ready.

3. Patterson should start, but likely only play the first half.

4. Frost will have more success at Nebraska then Fleck at Minn. I do believe that Fleck is the next coach at MSU though.

How many points does PSU get to against our defense? I think 17 is the max, but more likely to be 13.

IMPROVEMENT WEEK. This team does not take byes. They do, however, kick ass and take names.

1. Back. Coach will convince him of the benefit. Coach will be right.

2. Yes, he can and will.

3. No. We go by the book. In all likelihood, this is McCaffrey in 3Q, Milton in 4Q.

4. Frost*. Minnesota is still Minnesota.

*note that this is a relative question, and I do not expect them to be a national power under Frost. I will enjoy his pain for as long as it endures.

I think Shea would benefit from another year playing college football. Two years under Harbaugh would be beneficial for him (and us!)

That being said, if he stays, I think McCaffrey may tranfer. I’ve heard rumblings about this and it makes sense. He is ready to start.

So, my hope is that Shea makes huge strides and is outstanding, leading Michigan to an incredible finish - especially over Osu. And then goes to the nfl. I’m a big McCaffrey fan and want him to stay!

1. I think that Shea comes back, unless Michigan somehow pulls off a miraculous national title or runner up, led by him.

2. Uche will remain a situational player. That is where he is strongest at. Rotate him in, he adds more quickness and gets to the qb well this way. He is to be a linebacker at some point I would think.

3. Mcaffrey will hopefully get playing time the next 3 games, after the games are secured, every bit helps!

4. I still think frost gets the nod as far as overall success will go. I think fleck is a better college coach, just needs a bigger school for recruiting in the BIG to compete better.

Go blue!

Does anyone know if Nordin's missed FG against MSU was blocked? It sort of looked like it might have been based on both the trajectory and an MSU player having his hand near the ball's path, but I don't know whether this was ever confirmed or not.
