Lucky to get only 2 there.

Cross-checked him right on the neck. I'd be pissed if a Gopher player did it

And they do not have the redeeming feature of actually understanding hockey like Mickey.

Like Dickie V and Dakitch combined

Well, crud.

Just like last night.
Is there a pane of plexiglass behind their goalie?

I saw a lot of shots right at the goalie. With no traffic in front, a good goalie's going to make the save.

We played hard but were clearly out matched - the blueline is something of a disaster compared to recent Michigan teams
Fortunately, we're over the hump. Every game from here is easier and several of them should be very easy on paper. I think we should go 6-2/7-1 from here and find ourselves on the 2/3 seed line

We're 7-1-2 at home. We'll be fine.

Outside of yesterday's 1st period, we skated right with them in their building on their communist ice. Only difference is they buried their easy chances and we didn't.

We weren't overmatched like we were American International or something but it was pretty clear who the superior club was. We skated hard but couldn't do much. Minnesota created a ton of chances and buried many of them. They were quicker, passed better, shot better.
We played hard enough to win I think...but Minnesota was just better than us. We'll see if we can flip it in A2 but I'd be surprised if we did better than a split (though Minnesota is known to struggle on the smaller ice sometimes)

There goes any chance of a B1G Championship. If anyone is "shocked" that Michigan got swept by the #2 team on the road, I mean I don't really know what to say.
Now it's about getting the 2 seed in the B1G Tournament and avoiding the dreaded 3 days, 3 games format.
Michigan can sweep through the rest of their schedule in the regular season due to the home games. They've also won at both road venues they will be playing at.
This is it right here. Next weekend, Michigan has to come out and humiliate penn state, in BOTH GAMES. You better believe that 0-4 loss is in their heads and I don't think they're gonna be any less determined after what happened the last two games.
It has to start at Yost. They can do this. Let's just hope that Guptill gets back soon. Despite my gripes about his antics, he is a good player and we need him out there.

Also: fuck FSN for putting a simulcast with the homer network for minnesota.
Next time, I'm going to mute the TV and have Al and Billy on the radio playing.

Last year after a few big hits, Trouba couldn't hit anyone without getting 2. That's two majors for Downing in two games, hopefully he doesn't get marked like Trouba did.
