It's 12:05 and BTN just said they'll hear from RR next

BTN will have something.
My question:
"Coach, have you been the coach for this team in the past five games? Y'know, the five games that three of which were last second comebacks engineered by Tate Foricer? Or was that someone else?"

Fuck you and all the people with this shittu ass remark.
Tate played bad, it happens.
We have been competitive in every game and we will be good in the future. Be fucking patient.

Yeah he was lights out against MSU the whole game. I am pretty sure I have never seen him put it together late in a game and turn it on. Plus that Denard is one hell of a polished college passing QB. I think he is our best chance with less than two minutes and no timeouts looking at almost an 35-40 yards to gain. Yeah let's go with Denard.

It;s people like you who think you know best for the team. Who knows what the hell happened. I saw DR go down and score easily with Tate playing bad and only need a fg.
We are competitive, most ppl did not think that. Enjoy this season

they just said RR is going to be on next.
if you guys want to see something funny, well maybe not funny. check out woolfolk on the long TD to the TE that iowa scored at the beginning of the 4th. i have no idea what he was doing on that play. the poor safety (williams i think) had to cover 2 guys coming open across the middle.
October 11th, 2009 at 12:10 AM ^
that maybe RR lacks just a little patience.
October 11th, 2009 at 12:15 AM ^
College coaches aren't allowed to have patience. They rarely get enough time to do what they want, so they need to get things done as fast as they can.
October 11th, 2009 at 12:17 AM ^
You mean patience like coaching his team through a 3-9 season and then dealing with ridiculous accusations during the offseason with relative grace, and then coaching the team to 4 straight wins? He's patient enough.
I'd rather have him be a little impatient about getting himself some wins though.
October 11th, 2009 at 12:23 AM ^
"impatience", but I think you need to step back away from your emotions and play the guy that gives you the best chance to win.
However, I am assuming here he simply thought Tate was not "reading the field" well, etc. rather than some insubordination issue. There was no evidence of any. It looked to me like RR put him in there only because he wasn't happy with Tate's "reads". I'll take those questionable reads over Denard's consistently poor reads anytime.
October 11th, 2009 at 12:49 AM ^
I suppose, but Tate looked VERY frustrated after his last couple drives, and Denard just drove for a TD. Oh well.
October 11th, 2009 at 12:16 AM ^
RR talked to Brandstatter for a few seconds. Key points:
-Tate wasn't seeing the field well at the end of the game. Thought Denard gave them the best chance to win.
-Turnovers and big mistakes really killed us. (Duh.)
-Hopes the team will learn from this. Still young.

Sarcasm? Is my meter running?

It should be registering a Spinal Tap 11.
