Well it helps when you have a couple of Regents that want to continue football. Plus you consider the money they have already put into the program. In all honesty, I wouldn't mind seeing them bump down a level but not at the expense of competing in the MAC. If they went Division 1AA, they're closed competition would be the Missouri or Ohio Valley Conferences which would mean alot more travel on their part....so probably little savings. And they do have some bright spots in their football program....granted those are few and far between.
Personally, I think they are moving in the right direction with Coach Creighton.

The Running backs were one of the few bright spots of the EMU's lineup in the past few years. Not sure if that is because of him or despite him but still.

How is Mike Hart going to coach Michigan's running backs from Kalamazoo? When is he going to sleep?!?!

Dantonio said a similar classless thing prior to the Michigan MSU game by saying "Shall we have a moment of silence for them" when Michigan lost to App State. Mike Hart then said the little brother thing which was classless but not any more classless than Dantonio's comments. For some reason the media portrays Dantonio's remarks as witty while Hart's was classless and out of line. Dantonio was a 50 year old man, while Hart was a 21 year old college student.

I don't blame him for moving to Western. They are alot closer to a bowl game than Eastern.

WMU and EMU are in different universes. EMU consistently draws about 3000 while WMU draws about 15000.

WMU seems to be moving in the right direction. An MLive reporter claims this year's incoming class at WMU is the highest ranking class in MAC history.
