OT: Utah Jazz Preseason Stream (Burke)
Trey is having a very solid first quarter with 5 pts, 3 assists. Just hit a very tough fadeaway baseline jumper.

He played the entire first quarter. I watched it and the commentators are talking about it right now.

ESPN can't figure out the difference between Alec Burks and Trey Burke.

The commentators just mentioned his play. I think OP is correct and ESPN is wrong.

Gordon Hayward had 8 ast. I didn't see the game but I'm assuming Burke played mostly off the ball in this game.

he ain't playin' off the ball. Similarly, Durant had 8 assists tonight--as he often did last year--Westbrook wasn't playing off the ball last year and Jackson wasn't tonight.

If you've ever watched basketball at the NBA level you would realize that many PG's play off the ball. I could name Mo Williams, Chalmers, George Hill, whoever is playing with Kobe, and the list goes on. PG just means you bring the ball up the court most of the time. There are many talented wings that run the offense just as much if not more than the PG's do. That's not always a knock on the PG, that's usually because the wing is a good facilitator.

Of course, points play off the ball from time-to-time--hence my example of Durant with 8 assists. The comment suggested Burke was largely playing off the ball--without having watched the game. He wasn't. Further, Hayward ain't Durant, Kobe or LeBron. And, finally, I'd be happy to compare NBA watching time--and real basketball experience--with you.

Anybody check out the box score from the Pistons game? KCP debuted with a 1-12.... ouch.

But according to Joe D, he got Reggie Miller and the Jazz got Steve Alford.
