OT: Red Wings @ Blackhawks Game 7 Open Thread
The top-seeded Blackhawks have battled back from a 3-1 series defecit to force a decisive game 7 in Chicago. This has been a great back-and-forth series, and is a fitting way to end the in-conference rivalry between these two great Original Six franchises.
Zetterberg and Datsyuk have come up huge when it has mattered most for the Wings, both this season and in years past. Jimmy has been phenomenal in net this year, and he may have what it takes to steal this game in Quick-like fashion. Toews seems to have found his game a little bit in the last few games (when he is not whining), and Crawford has been solid in net despite 1 bad goal. This should be a nerve-racking affair.

I'm not sure ive ever seen a team turn it over as many times as detroit does in their own zone. most of the time it is unforced sloppy passing.
Still a one-goal game. But seems like the Wings need some puck luck.
I feel like I'm being so greedy. Here we were, about to miss the playoffs for the first time in 21 years (my entire life!) and I'm mad because our conference semifinal series is in game 7 with the top-seeded blackhawks.
This team has matured and improved so much over the past month that it isn't an uncommon feeling... Plus anything happens in playoff time.

we are not playing well enough to win outright but we are not necessarily playing bad enough to guarantee defeat. Play hard to the puck, earn a bounce or two, and we got it.
