Gary Harris is already top 100??? WHAT?!?!?!
October 8th, 2012 at 7:48 PM ^
I was surprised by that too, considering he hasn't played a single second of college basketball yet, but they have #3 Shabazz Muhammad and #5 Nerlens Noel as well.

Well you have to have true freshmen in it. These are projections, and freshmen are obviously going to play and a few of them will end up being the top players in the country. There's a total of 12 freshmen on the list.

I'm not surprised by seeing a Freshman in there, I mean there are those one and dones that are obviously better. But if Harris is there, I expect to Robinson or McGary on there as well if we're going off hype.

I expected Robinson in there as well.

Being a home town fan, I'd love to see McGary or Robinson in there as well. Noel and Muhammad are in their own class though when it comes to Freshman.

I get that they need to rank the incoming freshmen, and guys like Muhammad and Noel will likely be some of the best players in colleg basketball, but I don't know if Gary Harris is quote in that league. Is he already better than, say, Keith Appling? Appling was a pretty big recruit too, and has already played 2 seasons of Big Ten ball.

I'd say Appling was better his freshman year when he got to play SG. But is appling better at PG than Gary Harris is at SG? doubt it.

They should know better than to buy the hype on any true freshman playing for Izzo. For some reason, guys (especially big men) rarely live up to the hype in their first season at MSU.

They picked Zeller as the #1 player in college basketball? Wow, I guess this means IU is playing every single game at home this season?
Kid was terrible on the road last year when he wasn't getting calls and watching every other teams starting 4 or 5 end up on the bench with foul trouble in bloomington. He average about 19 a game at home and 7 on the road.
Amazing what being a basketball blueblood will do for a players stock.

Who's better than Zeller?
October 8th, 2012 at 9:43 PM ^
Doug McDermott

What i picked up from the second link:
Doug Gottlieb is smart and Gary Parrish is an idiot.
October 8th, 2012 at 7:52 PM ^
i'm gonna go ahead and say Matt Norlander is an idiot too.
October 8th, 2012 at 7:53 PM ^
But, he is still smarter than Parrish.
October 8th, 2012 at 7:57 PM ^
Does anyone else think that Trevor Mbakwe has been at Minnesota forever?

October 8th, 2012 at 9:35 PM ^
MSU doesn't develop talent and that is obvious.
