Future QB Stars
Sorry if this has already been posted. I looked through the board all the way back to the 17th and didn't see anything.

I just found this and thought it was pretty interesting. They have Shavodrick Beaver at 25, Kevin Newsome at 12, and Ryan Mallett at 2, but no mention of Forcier or Robinson. I can understand not mentioning Robinson, but I think Forcier warrants a little more attention than Beaver. They even mention that Beaver decommitted from Michigan and that Mallett transferred due to RR's new offense.
By the way, Matt Barkley is #1. I guess they haven't been checking in on USC practices.
EDIT: BTW, that last line was sarcasm. I have got negged a couple of times by some people whose sarcasmeters are broken, so apparently I need to spell it out for people.

That a couple of bad practices won't make the guys who put this list together give up on Matt Barkley as easily as a typical college football fan.

Tate and Denard are not as tall and thus don't get the hype. Most of the QBs on that list are over 6 ft tall.

That is not true....... at all

I was simply making the point that many of these quarterbacks are much taller than Tate and Denard, and that physical attributes have a lot to do with hype, but obviously not everything as Tate was still rated high in the recruiting ranking.
Below are rivals 2009 top dual threat and pro style qbs. Only one is shorter than 6 ft.

Well, it's in regards to the article saying "Future QB stars" and your height has no bearing if you become a star(well atleast in college, semi true in the NFL)

Another notable on that list: BJ Daniels at #30, who (allegedly) wanted some monetary compensation to commit to Michigan. Needless to say, Rich Rod told him to hit the road.

"By the way, Matt Barkley is #1. I guess they haven't been checking in on USC practices."
Imagine that, a true freshman having trouble against a defense with 13 5star players on it.

I have no problem that both of our guys are under the radar. Let them sneak up on some people!
GO BLUE!!!

to save articles like this and then read them a year later to see how reality turned out.
Giving Denard and Tate no credit right now is best for Michigan, because once Michigan blows up this year, we're going to return to being a hated team due to our success.

It is also funny to read these lists four or five years later. If you take a look back on the Rivals and Scouts lists (similar to this one) from 04 or 05, you'll get a good laugh at their "for sure" winners.

become stars, several of them haven't really even played

I like these guys being under the radar so we can come up and surprise every one this year.

I agree, it may also alleviate "some" of the pressure and expectations everyone has for Michigan. Still it is the Michigan quarterback position and with it comes huge responsibility and pressure. I think it will help with less expectations on the national level for these guys to just play and not be afraid to make mistakes. (Hope they limit them though)
