Brady Hoke isnt recruiting against Mark Dantonio, he is actually recruiting against Tom Izzo. He can dominate Sparty on in state recruiting not only in football but also basketball. Thats gonna burn extra hot in East Lansing.
To be honest he may be the most overrated basketball player in the state in quite some time, after playing against him several times he is just above average for a kid playing in a grade below that he should be. Football he has seemed to be the real deal but then again he hasn't played vs the greatest of talent wouldn't be such a bad if he went green in my book.
He's a grade below the grade he should be in? Sounds like Sparty material after all.

Let's wait at least until he commits until we start talking crap about Mr. Harris and Drake as a student. Apparently coach Hoke still thinks he's a good fit for Michigan. And I'm willing to bet he has been scrutinizing the kid's character.

It was a little sad at first because people are thinking he's going to MSU.
Then it got really angry and there was some trolling and a lot of talking about MSU's team.
Then it ended in touching fashion with a bunch of Dutch people coming together and even a family reunion in there.
I know the assumption is he's going to Sparty, but can we please keep the trashing of the kid and his family to a minimum? This should go without saying for all HS kids, but especially since it's going to be awfully awkward if he does go Blue.

It's totally classless to trash his family on the message board of a school he's considering. You think recruits don't search the internet for chatter about themselves and a kid who has gotten such serious interest from UM isn't going to find mgoblog? I would hate to think of him reading some of the comments in this thread.

I didn't take time to read all 149 comments, so hopefully this isn't redundant. I talked to a friend who happens to be VERY close to Drake. It sounds like Tom Izzo has made a huge impression on Drake for a long time which could make MSU his destination. The friend of mine also said Drake is very high on Notre Dame due to a good relationship he has formed with Brian Kelly. The one thing that struck me is that my friend said Drake and his Dad grew up as Michigan fans, and both are very high on Brady Hoke. Last but not least, it sounded as though Drake had geniune interest in taking all five officials. He really wants to see Alabama and USC. Despite the fact that he will be announcing tomorrow, his recruitment could be far from over.
Soooooo, he is committing to everyone?

Is Brady Hoke going to GR today? Dantonio is reportedly on his way over there, which could mean something, unless Hoke is going too.
that would be against NCAA rules so I would highly doubt Dantonio would be there for a "press conference"
