Because aMAIZEing BLUE132 doesn't have enough points to post it himself.
Made to resemble the Irish flag for the season opener against Navy in Ireland. Let the comments flow...
EDIT: What will they do to the unis? One guy's idea, although it's an interpretation of national jerseys if American football were part of the Olympics.
I will be honest and say that I am not really a fan of the shoes only because I don't understand why Notre Dame would feel the need to tinker with their traditional uniform on this level. Further, I would imagine that, if I were Irish and those concept uniforms were in fact the game uniforms, I would think that level of tribute to a country to which the team has really no meaningful connection would be a little over the top. It seems like this is trying to hard really.
The name of the school is French, for crying out loud! But then, it wouldn't really make sense to call themselves the Fighting French because then they'd just have to concede to losing all the time (zing!).
You mean they haven't already conceded?
As if their name and mascot weren't enough.
I don't see how any of this will completely annoy the shit out of the people of Ireland. This should go over well...
Those are sick..but I'd still love a Navy win.
Those look pretty cool... but if I was an Irish citizen and I saw those, I would say hey [maker of national team gear] why didn't you make some thing like that for our national football/rugby team?
Repugnant. Like everything associated with Notre Dame. You're stepping all over the Irish Flag!
