11W doesn't know when to give it up

this from an 11W recruitng mailbag...have a good laugh

Where do things stand with Dymonte Thomas?

Things are the same as they have been. He is committed to Michigan but did not close the door on the staff when they reached out to recruit him. The old staff botched this one completely and Urban has to make up a lot of ground, with the help of Bri'onte Dunn. This will not be easy, but it is possible. I am not saying it will happen by any means as he has a good relationship with some of the UM recruits and is saying all the right things, but watch him closely as actions speak louder than words sometimes.

Ohio fans' obession with Dymonte belies the statements that they only care about recruiting nationally and are less concerned about getting state recruits. This rationalization attempts to conceal their concern about Hoke's success in Ohio. Deep down, they are very worried that Urban is losing the stranglehold that Tressel once had on the state.

So, maybe we should call 11w = eleven worriers.

...but keep in mind that 15 of the 25 Ohio commits for this year and 4 out of the 5 thus far for 2013 are from Ohio,  so I wouldn't go as far to say that the new regime in Columbus has been unsuccessful or unconcerned (at least to date) when it comes to  recruiting the state of Ohio. As long as it is Hoke vs. Meyer there, fierce competition will likely be the norm.

They claim that they are going after national recuits whenever UM grabs an Ohio recruit (and we had as  many from Ohio as from Michigan).

As far as Ohio's success in competing with UM in Ohio, I did not say that they were not competitive in their own state.  In the recent past, however, they had to worry much less about that competition.

And now they are worried.

That's all I am saying.

Seems like we've heard this recruit nationally line before,  but for the life of me I can't think of who said they recruit nationally, after getting the rug pulled out from under them in state!!!
