Avery - The Reverend because it only comes in 22 oz bombers.

Avery is one of the best breweries in the country. Color me jealous.

Time to take a little trip down the memory hole.

Finally convinced megangoblue to make this a two person party. She's got some cheap South African wine that's apparently much tastier than Linear Algebra or Statics.

Have I told you lately that I am 100% done with my undergraduate career? All prerequisites for med school have been taken and I have my degree. Now comes the long process of checking e-mail over and over in hopes of getting an interview invite. And this process goes through the end of March. Luckily I have a warm glowing afterglow to keep me warm all through the winter this year.

Congrats man, that's awesome. Do you have two bachelors, now? There's still a small chance I try to go for that (turning a minor into a BA) but yours actually spans two different fields. Very cool.
We just walked into her living room and I turned on the TV and started clicking through the channels saying "damn I wish Bad Santa was on", she goes "try Comedy Central" and I'm like, "ugh not on TV, they bleep the whole movie". Sure enough, I click one more channel and it's MTV with Bad Santa.

Nice. I was wondering if you went back for a bio degree or something that required the courses you need. Are you applying to Cincinnati? megangoblue's got some serious connects, but they're in the engineering school, not medical.

I enrolled through the department of Continuing Education. With a bachelor's you get a year's worth of financial aid to take whatever classes you like to help advance your career.
I am applying to Cincy and I would love to go to school there. The secondary application was among the easiest to file when I applied so they built up the good karma with me right from day one.
Anyways, how bout those hockey-playing Wolverines!? Two epic wins in a row! There is hope for the team yet.

So what's your final application list, then?

And I have been drinking everything from Bud Light to vodka tonics. All unlimited from 6 to 11. Needless to say, it's been a great night at a great Michigan bar.
December 9th, 2011 at 11:22 PM ^
Lagunitas IPA and Rogue Dead Guy Ale. Maybe some Short's Huma Lupa Licious (my namesake) to round out the night. All are delicious.

I had a glass of Dewar's n Water with dinner, but didn't finish it. Not really a Scotch man.
Currently I'm writing a speech for our end of the year football banquet tomorrow and I'm downing a couple tall-boy Labatt Blue Light. Nothing exotic, but I felt like having a beer tonight, and nothing screams "pound a couple brewskis" like 24oz jumbo cans of beer.

A Yuengling, an Asahi, a Blue Moon Seasonal Winter Ale, and some homemade IPA my roommate brewed. I am slightly inebriated at the moment but I feel strangely fulfilled. My roommate did well on his IPA for a first batch. And no, I am not in college anymore, just too poor to afford my own place.

Montepulciano. Tried to get the wife drunk and it backfired when she went to bed with the second bottle just opened (and I did the yeoman's job on the first). You cannot recork this stuff. It is one of those wines that is awesome 20 minutes after the bottle is opened but after the night you opened it, it is cooking wine or else something for catching fruit flies (this works).
This could get ugly. We have a brand new case of Montepulciano from Trader Joe's and there is only so many spaces in a wine rack you can give to $9 bottles.
Nay, this has gotten ugly. Misopogal has gone to bed and left me with internet access. This is the kind of night when I wake up the next day with a spreadsheet where I designed a new playoff system, and can't figure out why World of Warcraft free trial edition is installed on my computer and there's 130 tabs open in Chrome, half of which are youtube videos.
It is best not to look at Facebook updates for a few days after such nights. Just sayin.'
Blogging when drunk is a bad idea. You think things are very profound when you are drunk but the next morning those things are not profound at all. Take the preceeding sentence for example. Right now that sounds like really fucking profound. Like I just uncovered one of the secrets of life.
The rest of the secrets of life:
...that is a bad colon. BAD colon.
How could she leave me with internet access??????
This post goes on.
Edit: it ends. IT ENDS NOW!
