Dear Fearless Leader: Scoarboard?
Dear Brian, aka Our Fearless Leader, aka OFL,
One tiny humble suggestion from a small voice in the wilderness. I am on your website, which might be the MOST PERFECT website ever created in the history of the Internets, which were created by Al Gore, about once ever five minutes. I started this compulsive habit either during the RR coaching search, or the JB coaching search, or The Process, or all of the above. But this website has become my #1 site on the Internets, which were created by Al Gore.
MY SUGGESTION: Maybe a page with a scoreboard of UM teams? Or a frame on the front page? Something with the most recent results, like the last week. Obv I know the football score the moment it happens; but I live not close to Michigan so getting UM hockey scores, or UM women's team scores (who knew, they were undefeated this year?), or gymnastics, or wrestling... I can't get those scores easily. I know MGoBlue has that sort of stuff, but frankly, that site makes my head dizzy.
Maybe users can populate it. Followers of each team could race to be the one to post the score, or you could deputize certain users to be in charge of the scores for certain teams. Someone already has the softball team covered, I think.
Just one little thing to make this website, already the BEST on the Internets, which were invented by Al Gore, even all the MORE perfect. Hmm? Even moar perfect? I think this has been pointed at (to?) by Brady Hoke.
And moar pics of the gymnasts, while you're at it.
Edit; I thought it would be obv., but the mis-spelling - SCOARBOARD - was an intentional play off of MOAR. And Brian can even use the misspelled name as the official title, if he wants, I promise I won't sue. (For a fee, that is.)

Scientific Congress on Organic Agricultural Research have to do with it, and why do they have a board?
(Sure to be corrected by the time anyone reads this...)

i saw it ;)

Or are you clever with a play on more/MOAR. Then it would be a SCOARboard.

Al Gore didn't invent the internet. Brady Hoke pointed at a computer, and it sprouted the internet.

Not only did Brady Hoke point at it, but GMat rubbed his belly for it, and Gorgeous designed its crazy dual core dilithium processes.

But it's a slippery (rock) slope if we turn into MGoBlue

I think the idea is to be almost the opposite of mgoblue by providing a simple widget that shows the most recent updated score. It'd be so much better than having to click all over the place just to get the volleyball score or something.
It would also keep the other teams in your mind without being intrusive on what you're probably looking for, and possibly provide a topic of conversation on the message board this isn't, CC, RR, 3&O, Paterno, Meyer, or another overdone topic du jour.

This is not a bad idea at all. In fact, I like it a lot. Granted, I am not one of the powers the be, but I think it would be very easy to do and I think a lot of people that visit this site are UofM sports fans in general. A lot of us probably visit this site more than any other, I know I do.There does not have to be an analysis of every sport, just scores and records. I think we all might appreciate it. Great idea.

I like the idea, though before I clicked the link I thought the thread was going to be about making the banner the scoreboard from the Ohio game.

... and make sure to call them Ohio 'cuz it's funny.

This is a really good idea. I like it, sometimes its a pain in the ass to jump back and forth between espn and mgo.

And then I was like, "first world problems". But I still agree.

OFL = Oral Fudge Love
I like how you continue to mention Al Gore in order to distract from the fact that you are appealing to the blog owner like a peasant to a king. And just curious, you can check this sight every 5 minutes, but don't have time to drop in at ESPN once per 24 hours?
Sorry...

I see you are more knowledgeable than peasant me. So please enlighten me, if you think me deserving.
How, can you tell me, can I get from ESPN.com the scores for UM hockey, UM gymnastics, UM women's hoops, and whatever else is going on I don't know about, without having to search all over the place on that friggin' cite? And on my iPhone, when I'm on the can? (Awkward thought, indeed. But true.)
That's my point. One-stop shopping. My example is -- did YOU know the woman's team is undefeated? If you don't live in Detroit and get a newspaper trumpeting that, you probably didn't. I didn't. Found it out randomly a couple days ago. Would be SO much nicer if the scores were all right there - gives us all something more to discuss.

I know everything, peasant.

Finding hockey scores and volleyball scores and such on espn is a pain in the ass I think it would be awesome to just have a scoreboard tab, i don't know jack about websites but without having to worry about any kind of analysis and such i can't imagine this would be the most challenging thing in the world and would be pretty sweet.

Superstringer, if you don't get a response in this thread, you might want to send an email directly to Brian for his review. He may not see this thread on the Board before it's gone from the front page.

I would fully support this, even if it's on the bottom of one of the sidebars.
