Best Player to Wear #93
The next group of numbers from 93-90 count no first team All-Americans and no team captains to wear any of these four numbers. The pickings are slim for standouts who wore #93 and the best of the bunch was Sam Sword, third on the career tackles list who went on to play on Sunday for the Raiders and Colts. Willard Hildebrand is a distant runner up.

Don't think any other #93 has, when prompted as to whether he has any pets, responded:
"I got a fuck lion now come fuck wit me."
FTW; I really don't think it will ever get un-funny.
Realistically, though, I like Sword.
That's almost as funny as his last name.
I had to deal with a woman last week named Stankey, and have dealt with a man named Grocock.
That was a real weak list. Maybe some of the older guys were good contributors, but I didn't recognize any names.
Sam was a great run stopper and fun to watch. Sword in a landslide.
Sword
Chris Singletary was pretty good too, wasn't he?
I think you're thinking of Mike Singletary.
Yeah......I think just the name "Singletary" brings about football greatness.
Chris Singletary (who is part of Michigan's staff these day) had 15 career tackles.
Chris Singletary, though, if it is the same person, is currently a member of our recruiting staff. I beleive he is the non-coaching director of recruiting. It is amazing the things I am learing about the personages who have played for the program. Google is a frightening tool...
Classic!
Bill Hoban, DE '72-75
I have done my Google stalking, and did not turn up anything notable about Bill Hoban. Is there a reason you would nominate him that I was unable to unearth? If he deserves consideration, I would hate to see him overlooked.
Nothing notable, just my father. Gotta give him some credit.
Well there you go...gotta give your props to Dad! He must have some great stories, though...
And he played in Bo's first couple of seasons...must have been quite the time...
Sam Sword, hands down.
You know, I should be able to do things like this...but just don't have the handy bits of html...I am planning to do a diary post every ten numbers with bios of the winners and some tidbits of the runner ups.
We went to high school together.
Is the track star his sister?
And his older brother played at Toledo.
