More Woodson Awesomeness
To continue a series of recent posts about Woodson doing awesome things for C.S. Mott Children's Hospital (see, e.g., http://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/woodson-day), Woodson, along with Steve Huchinson and Brian Griese, is organizing the fifth Champions for Children's Hearts golf tournament on Sunday, May 15 at the University of Michigan Golf Course. The list of participating former players is impressive. Hats off to you, Mr. Woodson.
I don't think I'll grow tired of hearing about Woodson's awesomness especially when it involves Motts. I can't think of a more worthy cause to fund raise for.
Seriously though, Woodson seems like a hell of a guy. Glad to see just how many more there are like him participating, even if they don't have the same level of publicity attached to their names.
well the only way for players to get consistent publibcity is to go the TO, ochocinco route. so you know what i'm cool with not hearing about him anywhere but here
this was going too be about how Woodson killied bin Laden since he has free time away from the NFL.
That is false. Charles can walk on water... and hence is fully capable of covering everything.
Morgan Trent, lol.
Anyone know where/if you can buy spectator tickets for the golf tournament? I would love to go to this.
Woodson will also be the grand marshall of an upcoming Indycar race in Millwaukee. FYI. FTW.

The one and only reason to attend an Indycar race.
False.
And also... woo Milwaukee!
Is there anything that he can't/doesn't do? I hear that in his spare time he gives Chuck Norris awesome lessons.
...another guy that Woodson wouldn't agree to pose in a photo together. Are we sure Woodson is that great of a guy or is that just based on him making large donations to Mott? I think every time one of us who's been drinking a lot sees a former or current player, we should test how cool they really are.
Why stop there? Take it up a notch. Eat some mushrooms, get naked and go to their house. Not down for Twister = not cool.
I had the good fortune of meeting him last May when he was back in AA for the golf tournament. We saw him at pizza house around 2am, and he was very nice. He allowed us to take a few pictures with him and talked with us for a little while. He is by far my favorite Michigan football player because of his actions on and off the field.
...great Wolverine through and through. Glad your experience was better than the other drunk guy's.
I don't know... but maybe drunk guy should "act like he's been there" a little more. Celebs are still people too. Discretion should be used; just because they're famous or something doesn't mean they have to kiss our ass whenever someone wants a picture taken... and if that celeb says, "no" -- because they're trying to have a good time and don't want to accommodate inappropriate fans, it doesn't mean they're a dick, not cool, or any less of a Michigan Man. I call BS on that link.
...your sarcasm meter. I believe it needs some calibration.
GOAT. I wear my shadow Heisman shirt proudly.
When is Woodson not awesome?
Dear B. Edwards:
This is how you act as an alumnus.
Love,
C. Woodson
and in fact those words are synomynous. In my top five favorite Michigan Men of all time.
