to see these half empty semifinal sites. I'm guessing most fans will be saving their money to see if the team gets into a title game rather than spend money on a semi-final game.

I was at the game last night, and as I watched I was hoping Michigan would have some high-low action against the 1-3-1 rather than have four guards around the outside and then shoot the three. I mentioned that if we had more depth at the 4-5, I'd love to see Smotrycz in the high post and Morgan down low. I know that it won't come up much because a lot of teams don't run a 1-3-1, but that may be somethign we see next year. On a side note, Shurna is the least impressive scorer I've seen. He rarely went inside (until late in the game), even though he was being guarded by Burke, Douglas and Novak for most of the game. I also believe that Timmy should be banned from the 3 point line for the rest of the regular season. I want him to drive to the basket, even if he did miss 5 free throws last night. If he commits an offensive foul, so be it. We need him to be more aggressive. |

I went to the Michigan-Bama game at the Orange Bowl after the 99 season (my senior year), and it was a lot of fun. I am probably a little biased since it was my first (and only) bowl game, but I had no complaints about it. Highlights include: - wearing shorts the whole time - NYE on South Beach - waiting at the hotel for the bus to the stadium and watching my friend almost get into a fight with Tom Brady's uncle after my friend wouldn't shut up about how much he hated Brady and wished Henson had started all year - chatting with the Bama fans before the game - sitting in the end zone for every one of Michigan's scores and the missed extra point by Bama

All he had to do was call the police. I can't believe there are people out there who said that reporting this to his bosses was enough. And the fact that this continued for years afterwards? Unforgivable.
I was one of the few that never thought Paterno's name should have been on the B1G Ten title game trophy anyway. Yost-Stagg seems much more appropriate. |

I thought I read somewhere that Delaney said having divisions in football doesn't mean there will be divisions in basketball. The other conferences with more than 10 teams just give byes to the top teams (I think it's top 2 in the ACC/Big 12 and the top 4 of the Big East). There's no reason to have divisions in basketball unless they just want to find a way to give schools more banners to hang in the rafters... |

Isn't this very similar to the English Premier League? The bottom two teams are demoted, and two teams are promoted from another league? I like it! |

Here's a suggestion: just shorten the regular season and allow all 300 or whatever teams to be in the tournament. You start the weekend after the Super Bowl and go from there. Is that something you'd be interested in? |

I've been to Moe's for 3 of the last four games, and it's been pretty empty since the Penn State game. There have been small children (including infants) there the last couple of times. I'd say that's probably a good bet, but it is Ohio State week so I can't guarantee anything. |
| 2 years 34 weeks ago | Robinson has to be a QB |
If nothing else, the terrifying moment when Tate was on the ground is enough reason to keep Robinson at QB. Michigan needs to continue giving him as many snaps as possible in games, and definitely throwing more often. So far his speed has made a difference against Eastern and Western, but even Notre Dame was able to bottle him up because he rarely handed off and basically never threw. In the Big 10, his athletic ability may not be enough to produce results. And most importantly, he needs to stay at QB because I never want to see Nick Sheridan on the field again, unless he is used like Darko was for the Pistons - the human victory cigar. |
| 2 years 37 weeks ago | If they are going to pipe in |
If they are going to pipe in music, they need to figure out the best times to do it. Playing Don't Stop Believing when we're up 31-0 doesn't really have any effect. And I am pretty much anything anti-Boston, so no Sweet Caroline. They should also consider stuff from, I don't know, the past 20 years? Why not some Seven Nation Army? |
