I married into a Buckeye Family. My wife is the middle of 5 children and all of them (plus both parents) went to OSU. When we were dating I downplayed my UofM fandom and even went to a game or two in the shoe.
Does anyone know a good place to go tailgate or a good bar in South Bend that will be M friendly. My buddy and I are going with hope of finding tickets but will probably end up at a bar.
I love Gardner, but his confidence is gone and he clearly is not 100%. I would rather start Shane and have some confidence that we might score points as opposed to getting obliterated and being frustrated with poor play.
Shane's first start in high school he was thrown into a huge game as a freshman and won. In high school he had ice running in his veins according to several scouting reports. You need someone leading the offense that has confidence. Gardner has none.
If we do get killed with Shane back there his confidence is not going to be destroyed. Anyone that says that or thinks that has never played football or really any competitive team organized sports or is just a pussy

I have been reading this blog for years and I am not an avid poster. I read a lot of intelligent things by viewers, but I also read a lot of silly things. Your response makes no sense. At the Army All-American Game he weighed in at 220. Look a picture of him then (8 months ago) then now, big difference.
Yes, he did struggle with his weight in high school. He did not start until he lost the weight to get to 220. He never played anywhere near 240 or 230 for that matter. If you are going to bash another comment please make it intelligent
Hey, I hope I’m wrong, but if you have played football you know what a RB should looks like body wise. Green does not look the part right now. Tons of potential, but this extra weight could hurt his chance of having an immediate impact.
There is a difference between being a overall big guy and carrying around 20 extra lbs. He was a 5 star RB at 220. 6 months later he is 240. That is not weight room, it is taco bell.
For the posters that think Green looks good, im lost. Compared to a normal person, sure, he looks like a beast. Compared to a college RB, no......he looks fat and out of shape. Smith looks more ready to play than Green does.
2.) Stauskas was not clutch this season, so I have to go with one of the Freshman or RIII
3.) Walton starts the season at the 1. Spike is my new hero, but he is a career backup.
4.) Nik starts, but Irvin takes his spot half way through the season (Stauskas is my favorite player on the team, but he will lose his spot and return to the starting role next year when Irvin slides over for the vacated 3 position.
At this point, Jake Ryan, does not have the resume to go pro. He would be a round 5 pick at best. He is a legend to UofM fans, but nationally he is just a good LB. another year of solid performance and he could get a look at a day 1 pick.
I have an ESPN insider account. Since the hiring of Tom wolverine nation has become one of my most visited sites. The analysts that rate incoming freshmen are all over the board. I believe that ESPN is the most accurate. It pains me to say that because they have Michigan's 2012 class rated the lowest of the four premium sites. Example: BWC rated 5 star everywhere but only a three-star on ESPN.
Lets not forget that Ash, Black, and Beyer were 4 star guys (according to some of the sites). Also, Clark showed a lot of promise this year. Finally its not like RVB and Heininger were lighting the world on fire the last few years so we should have some faith in our staff to coach up our players.
