You could have just posted a comment saying that I was annoying you with the video posts. Half of the questions on here could be answered with minimal google hunting so I was just posting crap all over the place. The stoned guy asking about marijuana was a particularly stupid one. I have been out of town for work for the past few days and haven't had much to do so I opened an mgoblog account. I figured I would see how many points I could rack up in the four days I was here. All was going well until my alter ego arrived. I'm just having fun, so I'm not offended.

"SP" are my initials by the way and not a play on the word spew. I don't plan on posting after this trip. I do have season football tickets and reside in Ann Arbor (BS '03,BA '03, MS'05,JD '09 all Michigan), but when I am home I don't live on this board like I have been the past few days.

I tried to eliminate my account, but can't so I just removed my picture and my signature. Point taken with you following all of my posts and negbanging every single one and adding the witty +1 for us comments. I'll stay off the board. I never read the MGoBoard posts prior to this week. I think I'll stick to the main page posts for a while.

Au revoir Canada.

I don't want to re-hash

I don't want to re-hash Gholston, but this morning during the recruiting roundup a caller mentioned something about Gholston living with somebody, but he declined to elaborate and just said to Sam , "you know what I'm talking about." What is the sketchiness about? I know it's not important since he is at MSU, but does anybody know who he was living with and whether it was some sort of violation?

I was thinking the same

I was thinking the same thing. What I like about curling is that all of those guys have regular jobs and yet there they are representing the United States at the Olympics. That's awesome. I wish there were more curling facilities. It's one of the few sports that you can pick up later in life and you don't need to be in shape for. I'm sure it is harder than it looks. I have been surprised by how much I actually like watching it.

That's a great sophomore

That's a great sophomore tape. I can't wait to see his junior year clips. I say the more running backs the better. I want quality depth.

There is a video interview

There is a video interview with Coach Watts of Detroit Renaissance here
It is linked in the Genuinely Sarcastic blog article that was mentioned above. This sort of stuff irritates me a lot. The whole video is like MSU propaganda, but the 8 minute mark talking about Lloyd Carr is really annoying. I realize coaches have personal preferences, but when you are dealing with kids' futures you shouldn't steer them to your favorite place.

It sure looks like Michigan

It sure looks like Michigan Stadium, but even with that, I don't think this App is worth the space.

I think the title should have a spoiler alert and not mention that she won gold. NBC and their disastrous coverage is showing it tape delayed in prime time.

John Tesh

I like the NBA on NBC theme, but it was composed by John Tesh which surely knocks it down a few spots right? In the following video Tesh talks about how he composed it, including a voice message he sent to himself when he had the initial idea.

If there is a legit accountant that uses mgoblog they should do it for free. We should all be donating money to Brian. It sure beats paying monthly fees to rivals or scout.

wlvrine posted a blog poll site in his "redundant threads/Polling station" post so I thought i would put his info to use.

The tape delays and fluff

The tape delays and fluff pieces are driving me nuts. The Olympics are on our own continent. You would think they could at least show things live. I like Bob Costas, but do we have to see him every two minutes? It's ridiculous.

a buddy of mine was grinding

a buddy of mine was grinding with a girl in college and ejaculated in his pants. The best part is it was on a Michigan Men's Glee Club Tour and he proceeded to tell everybody about it. From then on he was called Ejac. He became a glee club officer and whenever he got in front of the group they would chant Ejac. Just a funny story to add to this thread.

What a relief. I had to listen on cbssports.com which is always annoying, but happy to get the win. I have no illusions of a magical run, but it would be nice if we could finish with big ten record above .500

I'll take the tie into the half on the road. Hopefully we can play the second half a little stronger start to finish.

A lot of my Catholic friends

A lot of my Catholic friends do/eat whatever it is they are giving up on Sundays (or at least one day during the week). That seems like cheating, but I guess it is widely accepted. I've never heard the Easter basket thing, but that seems like it would be a secular way of doing things. Whatever works for you.

I tried ab ripper x a few

I tried ab ripper x a few times and I thought my hip flexors were going to fall off. I'm in pretty good shape, but the ab ripper is insane. The rest of the program isn't quite so bad.

I'm not Catholic, but I

I'm not Catholic, but I always give up something for lent. This year I am giving up dessert, soda, and I am limiting myself to checking mgoblog in the morning before work. Seriously, I would be insanely more productive if I wasn't constantly hitting refresh. National Signing Day was my low point. I was held hostage by my computer waiting for Demar to sign.

I'll posbang anybody who goes

I'll posbang anybody who goes to Mock Rock and writes about it.

I posted it last night, but I don't think good causes can be posted about enough. It's a great event for charity. You'll get your laughs in, give money to a good cause, and you might be lucky enough to be Charles Woodson. An all around good night if you are available.

Since it is on the cbs sports site I can't embed it here, but here's the link

The Capital One Bowl was

The Capital One Bowl was pretty amazing, but I think the Notre Dame game from last year has to be one of the best games in the rivalry. Also it came in the beginning of the season when we all had hyped up expectations. After Charlie Weis' comments about Michigan making excuses during RichRod's first year it was great to get that win in Tate Forcier's coming out party. I think by the time Tate is done at Michigan we will look back at that game as his arrival on the scene.

This site has some information and available books that may help you out. I took C++ back in 1999 and now I am in a completely different field, but "C++ Without Fear" is pretty good, or at least from what I remember. You can also find it for sale at the site I mentioned. If you just need to brush up you should try your local library. Then you can figure out what style works best for you. Good luck.

I'm out of town for work in Atlanta during the spring game. Does anybody know if the Big Ten Network plans on broadcasting it?

I just had a drupal problem

I just had a drupal problem twenty minutes ago. It's really strange and usually happens when I am clicking on recent posts.

(correction)

Sorry I screwed my dates up and it's too late to edit the post. I meant to say we haven't made noise in the NCAA tournament since 1993 when we won the Regional Championship (it has since been vacated) and we haven't won the Big Ten Championship since 1986

Our team championships can be found here

Michigan is pushing hard for

Michigan is pushing hard for him and we need him. Coach Beilein really needs to pick up some top level players. Our two best players are Amaker recruits and we have yet to land somebody to replace them. I believe in what Beilein is doing, but last week Sam Webb was talking about how kids would ask him (Beilein) whether Michigan has ever been any good. We haven't won a big ten title since 1993 which is right around the time the kids that we are recruiting were born.

I'm disappointed that Zeigler didn't get McDonald's All American love. Keith Appling (MSU) and Ray McCallum (undecided) are the only two representatives from Michigan.

McDonald's All American Roster

I agree with Tripp Welborne.

I agree with Tripp Welborne. Mike Boren left Columbus to play for Michigan. I don't think we should make any phone calls just because his son left us.
Wikipedia
Boren went on to become one of the greatest linebacker's in Mighigan history. His 212 career tackles ranks sixth in school history:
1. Jarrett Irons - 296 tackles (1993-1996)
2. Erick Anderson - 286 tackles (1988-1991)
3. Sam Sword - 265 tackles (1995-1998)
4. Ron Simpkins - 262 tackles (1976-1979)
5. Steve Morrison - 220 tackles (1990-1994)
6. Mike Boren - 212 tackles (1980-1983)
7. Mike Mallory - 211 tackles (1982-1985)
8. Paul Girgash - 206 tackles (1979-1982)
9. Victor Hobson - 205 tackles (1999-2002)
10. Calvin O'Neal - 180 tackles (1974-1976)

I don't think he would

I don't think he would qualify academically for us. Per
scout, he has a 2.7 GPA, an 850 on his SAT and a 16 on his ACT with a retake date not yet set.

I think we should focus on the people we have. Let's hope that Cameron Gordon learns the safety position quickly. A blue-chip recruit would be a nice addition, but it seems extremely unlikely.

"Where did we go wrong?"

The commercial with

The commercial with Letterman, Leno, and Oprah was a play on a previous Super Bowl commercial. When Chicago played Indianapolis in Super Bowl XLI, Oprah and Dave did a commercial with just the two of them on the couch. I don't think it has anything to do with a slap in the face of Sirius.

Regarding narrators, I think the all time best narrator of anything is Michigan alum James Earl Jones.

Who knows what the Pistons

Who knows what the Pistons were thinking when they traded Chauncey for A.I.? Joe can Dumars has made a few great moves, but the Billups trade and Darko stick out like sore thumbs. Hopefully we can get it going again.

The Real "John Wall" Dance

John Wall did an interview on ESPN where he said he adapted the move from a Louisville rapper. The origin of the dance move is from Kenzo's "Do the shizz." Copied here for your viewing pleasure. They do the move a few times in the video, but it is clearest around 3:02

OSU Idiots

While I think the dance is a little ridiculous, if this was a Michigan player I would love it. I'm sure Demar will come up with something crazy next season in the no fly zone.

I realize this wasn't an intro for an actual regular season game, but could you imagine Crisler Arena doing something like this? Their facilities are in another league compared to ours. Let's hope all the desperately needed renovations to Crisler actually come to fruition.

I like how Calipari has floated his name out for the New Jersey Nets job so quickly after joining Kentucky. He has a history of leaving just before the NCAA comes down on his teams. John Wall is amazing, but I agree with "pz," something sketchy is bound to be going on.
