Not technically the first half of the year, but my moment was finishing a trek at Philmont with my 14 year old son on 7/3. We both hugged and cried in each others' arms after we finished the last day's hike, waiting for the bus back to basecamp.
The tears were from both realizing we were in the moment of one of the those incredible memories that will last a lifetime. One of those lifetime changing moments where my son achieved a goal he was truly doubtful if he was capable of attaining. Teaching him that he is capable of accomplishing or handling just about anything in life if he puts forth his best determination and effort.
(There were many "GO BLUES!" when we wore our U of M gear around Base Camp. Last year's THE Worst State Ever shirt was a big hit while helping serve dinner in the cafeteria prior to hitting the trail.)
"The only other punters name you might know in the rest of the league likely played for your home team."
Unless the Miami Dolphins were your home team in the mid-80's, being able to name Reggie Roby validates the point I attempted to make - unsuccessfully.
Agree 100%. Reading the OP's title pretty much ruined my excitement to watch it this evening. So tonight I will not be appreciating Vingegaard's efforts, as much as I will be dissappointed by BoFan's Spoiler.
BoFan, please take note of JMo's suggestion and Ncblue61's non-spoiler title on the 8th:
Unfortunately, key offensive weapons Armanti Edwards (QB) & Dexter Jackson (WR) were not part of the "almost all" which you speak of. Edwards ran a 4.41 at the combine, while Jackson ran a 4.33. For fast QB reference, Shoelace ran a 4.43.
Not necessarily my all time favorite, but I don't know if Jimmy Herring gets enough credit. The 2nd half of this song is the type of guitar play I could listen to for hours on end.
Juwan Howard. Just watch what happens almost every time Teske goes to the bench. The lead seems to shrink like a countdown clock until he returns. This team does have other weaknesses, but lack of depth at the 5 is the one that scares me the most.
The interesting thing in this debate is the difference in surface dominance. You have Federer best on grass, where the points are generally the shortest, and the big serve is usually rewarded. You have Nadal who is best on the slowest surface where overall athlethism and recovery are rewarded. The unfortunate thing for Nadal is that the hardcourts at the US & Austrailian are closer in speed to Grass, than clay. This is basically a 3 to 1 advantage for Federer in surface preference. If you had a 2nd major with a slower surface like clay, what would the major #'s look like? I lean towards Rafa because he is the better athelete, and I just like him better.
Cub Scouts will remain separate - Boy Dens & Girl Dens. Girls will either be in dens with other girl cub scouts, or the entire pack will be a separate girl pack. For cub scouts, the logistics will be incredibly challenging from the perspective of finding additional adult leaders for the girls. New Den leaders will be required for each new girl den, and if an entire pack is created, additional new leaders will be needed for Cubmasters, Pack Committee, etc. As mentioned before, the Charter Organization makes the decision whether they will allow girls to participate in their program.
So young kids will remain mostly separate until the middle/end of 5th grade when they crossover to Scouts.

"How was he brought up in the Ray Guy post?"
It was a direct response to the statement:

Until the end of his career in the mid-80's. Anyone who watched the NFL during this time period knew the name of the Miami Dolphins' punter.

Sorry Purdue, Go Blue!
Even a bigger gap between #7 & # 22!
Windy, this is one of my favorite posts in the last ten years. Thanks for the laugh, I needed it today!
Hutch & Ojabo are coming. Iowa QB's should be afraid....Very afraid.
Go blue - Champions of the West!
Preview of Tagovailoa's teammate helping him up after he gets sandwiched between Hutchinson & Ojabo.

Completely agree - high level of sarcasm in the OP was immediately evident.
Seth, the rabid!
Agree with both of you. Radiohead's newer stuff is not as enjoyable, but In Rainbows is really damn awesome.
Jethro Tull has a really good catalog, but "Bungle in the Jungle" is awful.

You may want to add Bill Russell to your list
Venables should be fired, and they should hire Yaklich
Alabama has good coaches if we hired their Co-Defensive Coordinator to be our Offensive Coordinator.

are vastly superior to cookies or popcorn. Best fundraiser I have ever been a part of.
Thank You Charles Barkley for picking FSU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
only because the stupid refs can't call a correct goaltending!
Isn't Teske standing right next to him?
after the layup against state?
Everybody dies
I believe they were actually breeding during the first half.
before he has time to get the idea.
How can that not be a voting choice? The Michigan Fan is waving Maryland's sign with the score 27-0. That is a keeper for many years to come.
Agent that is.
I immediately thought ....WD. Does this count as an apparel thread?
In High School?
If the QB is going to be responsible for the line calls, it would give O'Korn & Speight a huge experience advantage over Peters.
Edit: Sorry, did not scroll far enough to read the Farnn comment below. Great minds however, and +1 to Farnn.
