Justin Gatlin (US sprinter) suffered a similar setback last summer. |

How long has this been happening? In what circumstances? Is that why there is occasionally a "mad shuffle" of D-Linemen just before the snap? |

... you could have taken a bottle of melatonin on top of a heavy dose of sleeping pills and you would have stayed awake in the Big House. It was E-L-E-C-T-R-I-C !!! |

Interesting too: Borges said he wanted to go with a single back, yet on some series Fitz, Shaw, and Smith all carried (I think sometimes on successive plays). All looked good, too. |

They screen real estate was badly used. Probably 40% of the screen was used for printing "Michigan Stadium" (top), block M's (side), and not enough useful stats at the bottom (score: only some time; yard line: never; stats: rarely; and voice-to-text of what the announces was saying that resembled a non-English speaker doing transcription (often gibberish). For what this thing costs: picture should have been much bigger, taken with better camera angles (most were taken with extreme zoom out, making players look tiny), and use of stats should be much more carefully selected. Big disappointment. |

Anyone remember Crawford getting pretty seriously slapped by the NCAA when he was taken in by a family friend who provided him shelter, food ... and a generally decent life (and safer, too, with greatly reduced risk of dying young)? ... Comparing that case (providing for an athlete's well-being) vs Newton's (dad profiting FROM an athlete's prowess) and the two NCAA rulings is mind-blowing. (Messed up our BBall team pretty badly, too) |

| 2 years 26 weeks ago | Red stands out? |
I was at the game. Not a noticeable difference in opposing-fan attendance than at other games. I estimated 5% "red." My friend with me estimated 4%. My wife, watching on TV, said "whole stadium" was red. Now, there were some Buck-nuts throughout the stadium, but in very small pockets, and scattered. It may be that red "stands out" in ways that darker colors (blue) do not. This was NOT a red crowd. |
| 2 years 26 weeks ago | over-estimating # of OSU fans |
I was there. THere was "some" red. But 95% of the crowd was UM. It was absolutely a home field advantage for us. Standing and cheering the entire game. While this wasn't just the sprinkling of red you might see when Indiana visits, it wasn't really different than any other OSU games over the years or games against ND, PSU, or MSU. Yeah, some of their fans were here. But WAAAY more of ours. (And by the way. I've been to Columbus. They sell us tix, too). |

Minor didn't play. Carlos Brown and Martavious Odoms barely played. 25 turnovers, or so it seemed. Fumble for a touchdown, miss a field goal ... and I still thought we had a good shot to win until the last Forcier interception. There is a a lot of talent on this team ... Rod & Co will develop it. |
