I don't care how long it has been. They beat them this weekend the only weekend that matters. Way to go guys. GO BLUE all the way to the NCAA tournament.

2 years 10 weeks ago I agree Calipari is not the

I agree Calipari is not the coach for Michigan. I was using Calipari as an example of this arguement that every Michigan coach needs endless amounts of time, and they can never be criticized, and they are all perfect. However you seem to be implying that every coach who lands a top 10 recruit is cheating. I think you can recruit these kids in the top 50 without cheating. How does Thad Matta do it, Roy Williams, Coach K, etc. The sad thing is if you look at the undecided, only Ziegler ( a Michigan kid) has Michigan mentioned as a choice. Michigan basketball is not even thought of by the top basketball recruits in the country. That is a sad state of affairs. With multiple top 100 recruits you won't have to worry about tearing down banners because you will never win one.

2 years 10 weeks ago top 100 recruits

According to ESPN U; one is 80th and the other is 92nd. Why known in the top 50, or top 10? John Beilein is a safe coach. He will not put us on probation, but we will not recruit top level talent, every three to four years he will make the NCAA torunament. the other years will be NIT or nothing. He was WVU for five years two NCAAs, 2 NITs and 1 No Tournament. This idea that I keep hearing he needs more time. John Caliperi may win a national championship his first year. Michigan has never put any effort into the basketball program, it is always been a bastard step child to the football program. It is what it is.

2 years 10 weeks ago Comcast Tv

I am not getting the channel 900, where I usually get the games. Is anyone else experiencing this.

2 years 15 weeks ago Impressive resume?

We keep hearing of Rich Rod's impressive resume. Where is that coming from. He had a couple of sensational years at WVU, with Pat White and Steve Slaton. Neither of which he has on the current roster. Also remember the Big East drastically changed during his tenure at WVU. Miami, BC. Va Tech left for the ACC. Rich Rod went from fourth to first by default.

FACTS: 2001 3-8; 2002 9-4; 2003 8-5; 2004 8-4
AFTER THE DEPARTURE OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED TEAMS: 2005 11-1; 2006 11-2; 2007 10-2

You have to ask did Rich Rod become a great coach or did the league become so watered down that he looked like a great coach.

Remember his last game at WVU a 13-9 loss to a sorry Pittsburgh team without Pat White.

2 years 17 weeks ago Recruiting

As far as recruiting goes. This incident with Manny Harris can't hurt Beilein's recruiting more than it already does. The two best players (Manny & DeShawn) were Amaker recruits. Beilein has not brought in much talent besides these two. If Manny leaves next year, Sims is already gone. Look at what is left. Novak and Douglass nice kids, but not talented basketball players. Beilein needs to bring in talent, talent wins not a system.

2 years 27 weeks ago Rodiguez's record

Rich Rod won in the Big East after the departure of VA TECH, BC, and MIAMI. That was a pretty watered down league. The second half of games is my problem. Why is the offense so pitiful in thesecond half. I think the spread is a FAD, and other coaches have figured it out. They have no chance to win today or next saturday.

2 years 27 weeks ago 2nd Half

The statistic that is most troubling is the points scored in the second half. PSU 0; ILL 0, PU 6. Penn State is a first rate defense that is understandable. But Illinois and Purdue are glorified High School teams, that completely shut Michigan down in the second half. The other defensive Coordinators are adjusting, Rich Rod is not. The spread FAD is dying.
