| 33 weeks 5 days ago | Vanilla Java Porter... |
the best beer (quite possibly) ever made. Definitely, Atwater's best. |
| 35 weeks 2 days ago | I know |
Brian said something about averting your eyes....but I had to look. Did anyone else notice the price on that ticket? $50? Wow. I hope they don't keep going up at that rate.... |
| 1 year 5 weeks ago | Weak... |
really weak. Should have led to a suspension. Period. |
| 1 year 5 weeks ago | boy... |
I just don't get it. I live in EL...and they were giving me crap about Stonum last fall...now this? I don't know how Izzo gets away with it.... |
| 1 year 6 weeks ago | Amen! |
Hoke's, Bielien's, and Mattison's on the house! |

For Atwater Brewery? To me they have the best beer in the state! |
| 1 year 11 weeks ago | Real nice idea... |
I like the following: 1) Limit to men's basketball, football, hockey players (no teams, no plays, no mascots, no kittens, no muppets, etc. will be eligible). 2) First year of voting: All players from those sports who has used up their eligibility (starting with those who graduated/used up eligibility in fall '04/winter or spring '05) are on the ballot. Also, eligible would be any coach who no longer coaches for the university and left/was fired/retired post 2005. 3) All subsequent years of voting (maybe make May the voting/inducting month) are based on those who used their eligibility the previous fall or that winter/spring. Also eligible in subsequent years, will be all those that were previously eligible, not voted in, but were named on at least 50% of ballots in the previous year. Also, eligible would be any coach who no longer coaches for the university and left/was fired/retired post 2005 plus received at least 50% of the vote the previous year. 4) All eligible persons being named on at least 85% of ballots would be enshrined. There would be no size requirement for any class. Let's get this done. |
| 1 year 16 weeks ago | 22-9 is my guess... |
Wins: IU, @NEB, ILL, PUR, PSU Losses: @ohio Toss Ups: @MSU, ohio, @NW, @ILL I think they get one of the toss ups to get to 22-9 (12-6 in the B1G). Which I guess will get them a first round B1G tournament bye, then win their first game, and toss up on second, so I would say 23-10 overall. Probable 5th seed in Big Dance. |
| 1 year 19 weeks ago | I am loving this thread.... |
but I am not sure why? |
| 1 year 23 weeks ago | Not so fast... |
I know we lose Martin, RVB, and Molk....but still get 16/17 starters back (if you include Stonum as a starter). I'd say that's pretty good...especially when one of them is a senior quarterback! MSU has13 starters back (5 on offense...they get decimated at WR and QB...plus 8 on D). I'd say with a new QB and our senior QB...we should be in good position to break the skid against them. Alabama scares me....but after looking into it....I am not sure how much. They have 13 starters (assuming only Richardson leaves but they might have more) coming back (7 on O and 6 on D)....and 28 back from their two deep. We have (by my count) 36 back from our two deep....plus a good class coming in and last years class will have another year under their belts. If the Dline potential problems can be solved (come on, Big Will!)....I think next year has a chance to be as good record wise but better in terms of Big Ten Championship. Brian has been saying we need to get to 2013 before being back....but I am beginning to think otherwise. |
| 1 year 24 weeks ago | I would say this |
thread isn't as moronic as your tagline. |
| 1 year 26 weeks ago | Awesome... |
Hip reference....might be the greatest band (especially live) that I have ever seen/heard. Don't know/see a lot of people who know of them!!! |
| 1 year 31 weeks ago | They all were |
tough but 2001 has to be it. I was in the stands and just couldn't believe what had just happened. It just seemed so unfair at the moment. I sat in the stands for about 30 minutes afterwards just stunned. Then went back to the tailgate I was at (it was mixed company) and had to listen Spartan slappies act all smug about a win they shouldn't have had. I ended up walking home. One other point, it wasn't Saban and Plax...it was Bobby Williams, Charles Rogers, and TJ Duckett. Just knowing that Rogers went on to semi-destroy the Lions makes it a bit tougher to swallow in retrospect. |
| 1 year 31 weeks ago | I would also |
nominate the 1987 game...when D. Brown (I think?) threw something like seven interceptions and yet Michigan still only lost by 6. That was tough one to take. |
| 1 year 36 weeks ago | I'm with you... |
I am just sitting back and taking this year in without much expectations. As flawed as it was...it was a great win! As flawed as Denard is....he seems like a great person and he is an exceptional athlete. Most exciting player I have seen in quite some time. |
| 1 year 36 weeks ago | Dare I say... |
App State under the lights? |
| 1 year 36 weeks ago | Going easy.. |
just drinking mugs of Miller Lite....at my fantasy football draft and need to keep the stomach functional. |
| 1 year 37 weeks ago | I love it... |
I am drinking the Kool Aid!!! If Brian is optimistic...then so am I. Just heard Karsch predict 9-3 for M on the radio....I think that is doable. |
| 1 year 37 weeks ago | I'm wearing my M polo |
in East Lansing!! I love it. Love the looks. Can't wait to put my butt in my seat at 3:30 tomorrow!!! It is time!!! |
| 1 year 37 weeks ago | I know it has.... |
been mentioned before (including above) but holy cow is Karsch is tall!!! |
| 1 year 37 weeks ago | That clip |
of Omameh on "that lb from ND" is just awesome. This line is talented....much improved over the 2008 debacle. |
| 1 year 38 weeks ago | Why |
Is it BS? Doesn't seem like stretch for them to visit...commit maybe but not visit. |
| 1 year 38 weeks ago | Looks like |
Brady also said Fitz could also start over Shaw. I hope all this competition at these spots is a good thing!!! |
| 1 year 38 weeks ago | Just heard.... |
that it is mis-information. His agent is saying he hasn't been released. |
| 1 year 39 weeks ago | I don't think there is bad... |
seat in the house. I like anything about halfway up to about 3/4th's the way up...any section. At times I like the end zone seats because of the perspective it gives you on line play....overall though I like the corners about halfway up....you can see the whole field and get some idea on the holes/line play. |
| 1 year 39 weeks ago | Congrats! |
Your valuable input will be greatly missed. |
| 1 year 39 weeks ago | Interesting comment... |
"Funny to see that the OSU vs Miami National Championship game was cheaters vs cheaters... much like Auburn vs Oregon.. Sad days for college football indeed. " I know he is quite villified on here but Mike Valenti has been saying for a couple of years now that the only way to truly compete on a national level these days in college football is to break the NCAA's rules. I'm not sure I believe him but I am starting too. |
| 1 year 39 weeks ago | This is the key for me... |
"As all good Michigan fans know, Manball can be effective in most games as long as you have better talent and you aren’t playing from behind." You can't play manball (which for me is power running on first and second and maybe play action on third) from behind. Just doesn't work real well. What comes to mind is the tosu teams with Troy Smith at QB....they spread it out and let Troy use his talents. I don't think anyone was questioning their toughness...their athleticsm on a national scale, maybe, but not their toughness. I would also say that Alabama under Saban was "Manball"....but they were effective. My point. Either works. It depends on how talented you are. Plus the sign of a good coach is using what you have to be most effective. Pragmatism is the key. I think Hoke/Borges have shown they will do that. |
| 1 year 39 weeks ago | Would not be.... |
a good look. Age = 39. |
