Love it, this was good. Thanks, now we just need Stephen Tyler to sing it for us.
A Song for the Season - 2011
You might recall that last year about this time, I wrote a song for the season, lyrics to Don McLean's American Pie. I felt the creative urge this year and Ive hit the legal pad again. Last year we were coming off a horrible, messy offseason, and something uplifting with a deeper message felt right. This year, Hoke has been recruiting so well and we're getting so much press, I'm feeling the rockstar vibe.
To the tune of Walk this Way - Aerosmith:
Brand new sideline mayor, always pointin’ at the players
I am waiting for the Run DMC version...
he made it because he loves michigan football.
For purposes of MGoBlog, such creativity requires no reason, especially if it involves Michigan football (or any of our varisty sports).
Because like you, me, and the rest of the Maize and Blue faithful, we're teetering on the edge of insanity because of lack of Michigan football and the anxiousness of the impending season. Of course, it could be just sheer boredom. Either way, it's very creative. Well done sir!
The song refrains that many times.
Good solid stuff here.
17 days. Can't wait.
Nice Blaze! Ok, so we have to meet this time, this year, 1st game. I believe this is the third year in a row we have mentioned meeting, drinking and discussing M football over bad-ass food. Send me a message and let's make it happen this year! Go Blue!!!
Hoke this way! Denard will play...
Hoke this way! Defense's day
Hoke this way! Denard Ole!
Hoke this way! Just gimme some blitz!
I don't believe, but we will make it happen this year. email me.
