Brian, have you considered adding the cumulative numbers for the year to the blocking chart, similar to what you do with the receptions chart? I think it would be interesting to see how the UFR numbers for blocking compare to how each player has performed over the course of the year.
Very funny bit about THE_KNOWLEDGE already knew this was coming. It will be entertaining to find out what THE_KNOWLEDGE's plan was to cope with the event, which THE_KNOWLEDGE clearly could foresee.
I don't recall ever hearing a player say they are dreading being a starter. That seems odd. I agree with most of posts here that there seems reason to be catiously optimistic about BWC this year, but isn't that quote a little disconcerting?
The University of Minnesota's stadium, for example (not that the Gophers will ever be in one of these games), does NOT have the required heating system that NFL stadiums such as Lambeau filed do which makes the field's surface playable in the winter. When the Metrodome collapsed and the Vikings had to use U MN's stadium 2 December's ago, there were significant concerns about the frozen playing surface and player safety. They did find a way to play the game, but at significant cost and according to some players (Chris Kluwe) at significant risk to the players. I am guessing this actually would be a significant concern at other Big 10 stadiums.
I think the OP acknowledges that, but he is saying if we're a 3, and Duke, MSU and OSU are all 2's, there's a 50/50 shot our sweet 16 matchup would be Duke because it wouldn't be a B1G team.
There must not be a picture with the score and the clock showing zero, because one of the pictures from this link shows 3 seconds still on the clock and it has already changed to the 0 days since Michigan beat Ohio thing. FAIL.
Read the title and thought this was going to have some kind of interesting point about humanity, and then it was just a generalization about OSU fans. A very accurate, generalization, granted, but still...!
Doesn't playing on a bad defense usually make you seem worse than you are? To me, if someone stood out on a bad defense they are probably very good, and someone would be more likely to seem better than they are playing in a really talented defense. I'm talking about, in general, no opinion on the specific question about T-Wolf, because I don't really remember.
Love the concept and the the title. Well done! It does feel like we are at that juncture, with logic and passion telling us to go different directions. Logic is coming around though too.
Seems like this Buckeye should be commended for taking his head out of the sand, as opposed to my one buckeye friend on facebook, who posted:
Getting tired of the witch hunt aimed at OSU.
Which several people "liked" and to which another responded with "Amen." It is incomprehensible to me that anyone could continue to blame the media instead of blaming the chumbalones who continue to choose a few quick 'bucks' over their school and their teammates.
39 seems like a tough number to get to. 5 TDs 2 safeties? 5 TDs a field goal and a 2PT conversion - why would we go for 2 though? 6 FGs and 3 TDs? Not this team.
Read it more closely and answered my own questions: the 10.3 is for our entire schedule, included games already played. So, they gave us an expected win score of 3.6 for the first 4 games (10.3-6.7). That seems too high actually given ND was a toss-up at best. Not sure we would be ND more that half the time if we played 100 times.
The good news is that this means they are actually predicting 10.7 wins for us at this point (4+6.7)!
FWIW looking at that expected win column, where it has us for 10.3, the only teams it has higher than that are Oklahoma, Boise, Wisco, and Stanford. It is wins expected against your actual schedule, not a stat based on an average schedule, so thats why we can have the 6th highest expected win # but be ranked 10th. I.E. even though it has LSU as the best team, their expected wins is only 9.6. Something is off though because it also says it expects us to win 6.7 of our remaining games. IIRC 4 plus 6.7 is 10.7.
I was thinking the same thing - I bought a little too hard on all the predictions of future performance based on RR teams past performance to get too wrapped up in this kind of stuff this time around. Still, its encouraging to see that Hoke's teams have exceeded some expectations.
Great tag line too, by the way. Apparently the magic happens just about everywhere for Mr. Omameh.

I thought I heard this was 1 of 5 regional covers. Where does the 62 number come from?
I hear that Omameh also gives a tremendous tour of Schembechler Hall! Well played Heiko!

Without knowing anything about New Hampshire, I don't think there is a team out there that I would pick the Gophers to beat by 23 points.

I don't get it.

What does this mean for the future of Tacopants?

LOVE the predicted score. Beautiful. #beatohio
These are tremendous! Can't wait for the rest. #BeatOhio!
Mostly because they first hated me.
Also because they lucked their way into the championship in '02 when they weren't even that good.
Finally, because they are dirty as sin and they just keep getting away with it. Still.
Seriously, what happened to that dude's pants? Anyone know what is going on in this photo?
FAIL. He was clearly not serious.
Just a matter of time until it catches up with Dantonio too.

Northwestern: 53 on offense, 85th on defense. Obviously, this is mostly w/o Persa. Still, seems like we should be able to handle this team.

This is exactly what we should not be doing. Beat the Wildcats!
I wonder how they got their 1 vote? Fickell? I would be willing to bet yes.

And Ohio is ranked 30nd, ahead of the other Ohio at 32nd!
I love this ranking and I hope it is very accurate.
Nebraska is at 54 in this ranking, wow!
Two chances at that filed goal due to an offsides penalty, and he missed both! Nice to see...
I just caught the end when Des had a Purse - what was that?
Thank you!
Sorry posted in the wrong thread
Thank you Tom, and good luck. We will miss you here.

Are those the only two options? I'll take door #3.
And this is funny because? Again, sorry to be That Guy.
