except my prof was from Russia. Just awful. I stopped going to lecture after the first few weeks and taught myself from the book.
I think the math department must put all the profs who can't speak english in 216 sections. By then all the engineers just can't wait to be done with the math requirement and just suck it up enough to be done.
Which made 344 and 528 reasonable. Is he still around?
The toughest ChemE classes for me were the Grad transport class with Gulari (can't recall the #), and Thermo II with Ziff. Those guys might be brilliant in the lab, but it didn't translate to the lecture hall.
said Boerma was meeting with the AD to discuss moving the band to the endzone, and possibly amplify. At least that's confirmation the the AD and MMB realize there's a problem.
I remember watching some guys in the press box huddled around a TV, just like you said. When they started going crazy the whole arena erupted. Good times.
Granderson's a solid player, not all-world. He plays above average defense, has decent power, but strikes out a ton and can't hit left handed pitching to save his life. I also think given his speed, he could be a much better baserunner.
Don't get me wrong, I love watching him play, but he's not the next Al Kaline or anything. Gone are the days of guys playing for the same team their whole career.
If DD can get a solid haul of players to build for the future by trading a guy at his peak, then I say go for it.
I believe unrestricted AD donations in the current year count for 2 points, while restricted AD donations and gifts to other departments count for 1 point.
This year, all it took was a $100 donation to the Victor's Club to get offered renewable season tix. Not bad seats either, I'm in section 19 row 90. I bet next season will be the same.
In the past it's taken $500 to get into the tier with ticket privileges. IMO, the best strategy is donate $100 per season until you get offered renewable tix. And, even if you don't get offered renewable tix, they typically offer you the "go blue pack", which is a non-renewable season ticket minus homecoming.
Now is the time to get renewable tix, IMO. When the team is actually good, they'll be much more difficult to get.
The tigers never play well in the metrodome ... I just have a feeling it's going to come down to some fluky turf bounce or a ball getting lost in the dome.
At least this is the last game they'll ever have to play there.
