Is that Dave Brandon giving Lloyd Carr a hug at the 10:44 mark in the New Math video? |
| 1 year 44 weeks ago | Not the fan poll |
I think Brian was referring to content on the link. A few of the guys mention Michigan as potential losses this year. Edit: Just re-read the post - I think he was talking about the fan poll. Nevermind. |
| 2 years 2 weeks ago | Ticket office email |
This is the wording from the email I got a while back from the ticket office: "A ticket for this game will be included in both the football and hockey student season ticket packages for $5 each. Students may buy additional tickets to this event for $10 each when purchasing season tickets. Students who purchase both a football and hockey season ticket will receive a total of two tickets to this event." Sounds like the $5 was built into the price of the ticket packages, and if you got both hockey and football, you get two tickets. I'm not sure how many people actually bought an extra one by mistake since I think they made it clear that one come with the season tickets. |

I appreciate the info. I'll just have to see what I can find when I get there. |
| 2 years 12 weeks ago | Student tickets |
I just bought a pair of tickets in the student section (Sec. 15) - Is it usually a free for all in the student section as far as seats go? I'd like to sit where my tickets are but I can't get there super early to make sure that I get the seats. |
| 2 years 30 weeks ago | Grizzly and ABC are great |
Grizzly and ABC are great choices for beer and food. Also, although its fairly new, I would recommend Jolly Pumpkin (Main St). The beer selection is great, although a little different style than a normal microbrew. The food is pretty good as well. It'll probably be pretty busy - but check upstairs, its seat yourself up there and you might get lucky. |

I know it doesn't tell the whole story, but Rodney has been really good in save situations. Some closers can't get focused in situations where they have big leads, and Rodney seems to have had trouble with that this year. Save situations: 0-0, 2.72 ERA, BAA .214, OB/SLG/OPS .307/.344/.650, SO/9 8.7 Non-save situations: 2-4, 5.40 ERA, BAA .254, OB/SLG/OPS .360/.373/.733, SO/9 6.8 Stats from Baseball Reference: http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/split.cgi?n1=rodnefe01&year=&t=p You're also comparing Rodney to Joe Nathan, who has consistently been a good (check that, great) closer for 6 years now. If the Tigers make the playoffs and Rodney can be the same as he was in save situations during the season, they should be okay in those ball games. |
| 2 years 34 weeks ago | Not an away game |
He admitted that he thought they would catch him, but he forgot it was the MSU band. However, it was a home game for Notre Dame. Edit: See theyellowdart's response |
| 2 years 35 weeks ago | Great man |
He gave everything he had to the game of baseball and the city of Detroit, while asking for nothing in return. I know the fans will come out to give him support tonight, and it should be great. He is already missed as a broadcaster, and will be missed once he is gone. I won't be at the game, but I plan on giving him a standing ovation wherever I watch it from. Like Inge said, it will be a night that will not be forgotten. Thanks, Ernie. |

Keep in mind that validation now depends on the opponent. For ND, it would be $40 for non-student use. |
