|20 hours 12 min ago||And there was much rejoicing.|
|2 weeks 2 days ago||Come on now.||
Our offense has been disappointing, but it's not even close. That '10 D was one of the worst ever. Hell, this offense is better than our '08 offense by a longshot.
|5 weeks 5 days ago||The announcers...||
just went full "Not Just A Shooter" on Stauskas. It was finish-your-drink worthy.

Is that the same guy whos been doing this for years? When I was a student from '05-'09, it seemed like there was an alumni twirler who did that same routine in front of the student section every year. Minus the knee injury, obviously.
|8 weeks 5 days ago||Why not?||
I don't think it'll actually happen... but I don't see a downside.
|9 weeks 3 hours ago||Where does he play?||
I don't think there is any question whether or not he's going to play this week. My biggest question is at what position and for how many snaps. Do you work him in with Brennan Beyer and rotate snaps at SAM? Or, maybe give Ryan some snaps at WDE and pull Frank Clark instead? In my opinion, Beyer needs to stay on the field, and that eventually he should move back to WDE and send Clark to the 2nd team. That probably won't happen this week, but I think that gets the best 11 on the field.
|11 weeks 2 days ago||I would hedge towards late.||
It's taking it's sweet ass time moving east. I bet the worst of it stays west until after the game.
|11 weeks 2 days ago||*sniffle*||
Hey, wait a minute. Yeah! You're right! You're the best, Brian.

ND wins 16-6 in the most eye-bleeding game ever witnessed. MSU does not crack 100 yards in the air.
UCONN wins 182-1... because obviously.

|11 weeks 4 days ago||I don't really care much about the trade.||
But damn, Jim Irsay is REALLY EXCITED.
|11 weeks 5 days ago||So what?||
They paid for those tickets, they should be able to decide what they want to do with them. If not a single student shows up for any game other than Michigan State, but they paid for those tickets, there should be an open seat for every single one of them. If you want to do a straight lottery system, where the students KNOW that they won't be able to get tickets to all the games and they pay ONLY for the games they attend, then fine. Announcing a new policy after students already paid full price for what they thought was a full suite of tickets, and then telling them to deal with it or you get a full refund, its 100% crap. Guarantee that this was in the works when they started selling them.

I am fully supportive of the new policy for football games. Hell, I even agree with reducing the student section. At least with that system, if you buy a ticket, you're getting a guaranteed seat. If I buy a ticket, I have the right to do whatever the fuck I want with it, because it's my money. To take away future season tickets, without a refund, because I failed to show up for another game is absolutely ridiculous and should not even be legal. This is either a greedy money grab, or another case of Dave Brandon attempting to test his limits, and piss students off enough that they'll get rid of them...whereupon they can sell those tickets to someone else. If you want to shrink the student section, shrink the student section. Don't pull this thinly veiled bullshit.
|12 weeks 1 day ago||I hope you're right.||
Football is weird and flukey weeks happen. I'm having a hard time convincing myself at the moment, though.
|12 weeks 1 day ago||Drumbeat.||
This week reminds me a whole lot of 2010, when we almost lost to UMass after an emotional win against ND that had everyone thinking we had arrived. This all could very well be a fluke, but I just can't shake the sound of war drums in the distance.
|12 weeks 5 days ago||I can't stop watching this.||
Half of me thinks this is hysterical, yet the other half is worried that this cat fell a few stories down. SO MANY EMOTIONS.

Obviously it's a downgrade from Notre Dame... but what other options are there? Nebraska will rotate off the schedule too much with realignment, and unless the two ADs totally backtrack, Michigan State is unlikely to happen. I highly doubt that Penn State is going to completely fade into oblivion like many people seem to believe, and with the divisional implications to come I think it will be at least a respectable compromise.
|13 weeks 2 hours ago||Man.||
I really really hope that Borges can find a 2015 QB who can move a little bit. It is just too much fun to watch a guy tear defenses up with his arm, and then just as the defense finally does everything right, tuck and run for an easy first down. There is just no way to stop that on a consistent basis, and likewise it's so hard to find guys who are good enough to do both.
|13 weeks 2 hours ago||Obvious choice...||
is obvious. It would be kinda cool to continue the Under The Lights series on a regular basis with Penn State.
|13 weeks 7 hours ago||I'd like to see...||
A California team or Texas. USC, UCLA, Cal or Standford would all be good choices, although of those four I think I would prefer Stanford or USC. The problem (if you see it that way) is creating possibilities for Rose Bowl rematches...although the odds of that happening are pretty small. I like Texas too, if for no other reason than it being a good way to get some exposure in Texas for recruiting, minus being clubbed to death by Bama.
|13 weeks 20 hours ago||This UFR will be interesting.||
From my view, I got the impression that Kelly took away a lot of the pass rush by virtue of his game plan. There were a lot of short, quick throws that helped neutralize that, and Rees was mostly accurate. Granted, there were a few cases when he had what seemed like all day back there, but I didn't see it very often. The UFR will be interesting this week.
