Offense snaps the streak of not scoring a touchdown in 8 quarters with a big play (50+) on the opening drive... |
| 1 year 23 hours ago | Contract clauses |
Universities would put that sort of clause in a contract where if you take our team to a lower level or two, it's automatic firing without compensation.... |
| 1 year 23 hours ago | Recruiting focus |
I think that would make coaches focus more on recruiting players they know would stick around. It would prevent a Kentucky-esque basketball situtaion where Calipari recruit five kids that win him the title and they all leave... Coaches would have to encourage the children to stay in school longer, thus more houses of learn-ed doctors, as Dale Dobeck would say. |

Brian is projecting that we aren't going to start anybody on the defensive line!!! Ahhh, I'm nervous about what sort of scheme Mattison is utilizing!! Yes, Jim Parsons, this is sarcasm... |
| 1 year 17 weeks ago | Green Bay will be the best option |
The WIAA is more than likely going to end up using the Resch Center in Green Bay....currently used by USHL's Green Bay Gamblers (Alex Kile!!), the UWGB men's basketball team and various concerts and expo shows....it's the best optino and the Green Bay community is excited about the option.

| 1 year 19 weeks ago | He was out anyway |
As it says in the rule exerpt, "It also is incomplete when a player leaves his feet and receives the pass but first lands on or outside a boundary line, unless his progress has been stopped in the field of play or end zone" He landed on the boundary line, and his progress didn't stop in the field of play....regardless of the ball hitting the ground. He was out. Don't understand why the side judge even thought it was a grab....He was out from the get go |
| 1 year 25 weeks ago | High school wings |
That appears to be a game pitting Clarkston (Oakland County) against Grand Blanc (Gennessee County)....just thought I'd mention it, since people are gonna ask. |
| 1 year 32 weeks ago | Pretty sure it's deeper than that |
The OSU rivalry didn't start in the 60s man...that rivalry runs back to the Toledo War...bloodshed |

It is the Buffaloes... Miniscule criticism for what is turning into an must-read. Well done! Anxious for next week's Thursday column |

So, yeah, I actually don't see where this wallpaper is. Do I need a certain amount of points to view the image? I keep clicking on "cjm's blog" and I don't see it, so I go back I click on "San Diego State Wallpaper" and it takes me here...not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any suggestions? |

| 1 year 36 weeks ago | lol Jerry Palm |
I like how his top four teams from the conference are all from the "West" Division (Neb, Mich, MSU and Iowa)...I guess I can't blame him because he's probably just as confused as the rest of us as to who plays in which division...

| 1 year 38 weeks ago | Nice work H-Town |
Too bad I was one year ahead in school, and we only roomed for one year. I got witness (from row 4) the No. 1 v. No. 2 in Columbus... We had the projection screen TV in the apartment for Tigers Playoffs '06, Wii bowling (when it was RAWK ON, MAN!), Michigan baseball in Super Regionals and all the (Insert fake holiday here) parties. Reindeer piss! Anyway, good luck in Austin. It's crazy how those years seem so far away... |
| 1 year 38 weeks ago | it's your clips |
I do like hearing the crowd noise in the background, but this J Dilla character just wasn't pleasing to my ears. MGoBlog will have to roll with what you dub in to the reel |

| 1 year 38 weeks ago | new music please |
The music at the beginning of the highlights was the best music on the clip....i couldn't even watch the rest of the highlights because the music was so terrible. Was that like female rap/techno....? Using the indie-style music for these clips is the best thing that ever happened last year, and you should do the same...

| 1 year 48 weeks ago | Three-way Finals |
I think I'm confused how New York athletics work because you said "there were 3 teams that went to the state finals" How did three teams compete in a state finals? Thus, I think I'm confused... |
| 1 year 49 weeks ago | Shouldn't happen |
Spread 'N Shred teams shouldn't line up in the I-form EVER Yes, a fullback is necessary when runing the I-form, but the formation should've never been an option against Illinois because of the lack of the fullback |

In the NFL it's up to the player what he wants....Strahan used the no-sleeve jersey style, while Brady likes the floppy sleeves. But you're point was very correct about Denard wearing the Techfit style... |

The Chargers' throwbacks/full-time uniforms are horrible...Light blue is terrible, and the white helmets look like 4th-grade Pop Warner helmets...pitiful |
| 1 year 49 weeks ago | The stitching on the "M" is |
The stitching on the "M" is very similar to the "M" stictching that I have on my white hockey jersey hanging in my closet. It's really not bad. It's not made to look crinkly like others suggest, it's simply a style of sewing... Granted my hockey jersey is a NIKE brand, but it's the exact same stitching style... |
| 2 years 1 week ago | What was Prepseer talking about? |
The kid's a sophomore and has NFL size. He throws the deep ball really tight and was moving in the pocket well enough to find a late-breaking receiver. I don't know how someone couldn't be excited for a kid who throws the rock that well as a sophomore. Also, I don't know why the video editor felt the need to circle-highlight a kid playing quarterback?!? |
| 2 years 3 weeks ago | well said |
I agree. I skewed away from the original stance and argued against something he/she wasn't actually arguing for...my bad. |
| 2 years 3 weeks ago | correct |
After reading your synopsis and then rereading the original post, I can see your point that I may have skewed from the stance... I was talking about numbers |

UConn and Tenn. womens bball, and ACC soccer, and IVY League lacrosse, and IVY League crew. There are certainly teams and sports that women have created a culture for and they wouldn't go away. |
| 2 years 3 weeks ago | rebuttal |
"...by forcing schools to treat female athletes as equal to male athletes." I'm just going to point at the elephant in the room and say they aren't equal in terms of athleticism at the college level.
"...if high schools started cutting girls' sports, then women's sports at the college level might start drying up..." This would be good for colleges who could start, to you know, break out of the red and get back into the black. You know, start working with a budget and not always be in debt... The economy is so bad that it takes drastic measures, and if Title IX was repealed for 5 or 6 years, it would allow schools to start making money. I am for women's rights, but I dont necessarily think playing sports in college is a right. It's a gift. Most college athletes (men and women) don't have the gift, so why should a school be forced to recruit these athletes just to field a team in order for the schools to have equal teams to let their profitable sports exist. |
